I pray that some day every one can get the treatment they need. I hope all of you get the Oboma care working right as it was intended. It's a damn share that those controlling it have to make their share of graft first, I hope you can get all those politicians off there asses to make it work as good or better than those with universal health care. Are system is far from perfect as it is a slow but it works for the most part. If you can buy and afford better care, great I'm happy you have been successful and rich enough to do so. cheers

This kind of information is of great importance to so many. Here in the US, we're going through a bit of a healthcare nightmare and millions of currently insured will be lose their current health plans the first of 2014 or soon thereafter. i was notified by my insurance that they would not cover my HCV meds after Jan 1st. Thankfully I didn't have to go out to 48 weeks of treatment. It's info like Jill's that provides hope where there was none. If anyone is going to have problems getting their medication, if you share your circumstances here, there may be someone with a solution just waiting to help.

Patient Assistance Programs, updated - an updated Fact Sheet from the HCV Advocate website, September 2013.
Many Americans do not have insurance and/or prescription coverage for healthcare services. In addition, some Americans have insurance coverage that has high deductibles. For these reasons people are in need of free or low-cost medicines. In order to provide free or low-cost medicines to those who qualify, patient assistance programs have been created by the pharmaceutical industry. In addition to these services some pharmaceutical companies will work with patients to see if the prescription for their drug is covered by the patient`s insurance company or other drug plans.
The patient assistance programs also offer other services for people undergoing treatment with their respective medications. Merck/Schering, Vertex and Genentech/Roche provide services such as a 24 hour nurse on call, motivational information to help patients adhere and stay on the medications as well as various tips on side-effect management. These services can be accessed on the web or by calling the pharmaceutical company,
