Mark and Pierre,
welcome to our forum. Give and take all the information you want. Lot's of it here. It helped me tremendously last year on my 48 weeks of Tx..Very good luck to you 2, and to all on treatment. And i hope 2014 is your magical year to KO Hepc.

Hi Mark and pierre. Welcome!
You've come to the right place. Wonderful folks here. There is much information and support to be found. I'm also one of those on treatment with the new DAA's (3rd week) and will be following your reports with interest. It was indeed surprising how quickly treatment was approved after submittal. My doctor told me he was going to submit an off label script in early January and we'd see what happened. The pharmacy called me first (took about 5 days) and I was the one who informed the doc's office I'd been approved. They were somewhat shocked, but delighted to hear the good news. I've been very happy to hear that others are finding the approval process to be relatively painless. It bodes well for us all.
Best of luck to both of you,
Wayne

Hi Cinnamon Girl, yes it was a clinical trial in 05, Pegatron, Riba and one other that escapes me at the moment, the treatment was a brutal 48 weeks. Yes, I'm quite excited about the success rates with these new off label meds. Even my Dr was very surprised at how fast I was approved and the cost with my insurance and the coupons these manufacturers provide is making everything very affordable and painless up to this point. Thank you again for the welcome and I look forward to sharing whatever I can.

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum! As you`ve already seen, we have a group of new members here who have recently started treatment with this new `off label` drug combo, and we`re all very interested to hear about your progress. It`s really very heartening to see how many people are getting these drugs approved so quickly, and I`m sure you must be so pleased to be about to start!
Sorry to hear you relapsed in 2005, which triple therapy were you on? Incivek and Victrelis were both approved by the US FDA in 2011, so I`m guessing it was a clinical trial you were on back then?
Wishing you all the best of luck this time around, you should do well on this drug combo! Do keep us posted!

New member here, I've been reading the posts, great forum here and I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Genotype 1, diagnosed 30 years ago. I went through the triple therapy in 2005, cleared the virus but relapsed shortly after. I'm now getting ready for the Solvaldi/Olysio combination. My prescription will be here tomorrow and I will start on Friday. I was both surprised and happy that everything was approved so fast and after reading the positive feedback on these medications am looking forward to hopefully good results. I am happy to share any information as I'm sure I will be asking questions myself. Once again, great forum you have here!
Welcome Mark,
The journey begins.
Stay Strong and good luck.
Thanks for the support and warm welcome everybody, I will give back as much as possible.
