Hi Nathan,
Thank you for sharing your story, it is inspiring to say the least. Sometimes it is easy for us to forget what this disease can do and how fast it can act in some people. I am very sad that you have had to endure a living hell, but I am so happy you fought back to share this wonderful story. I hope this is the last of the nightmares for you and you can begin a wonderful and very happy life, you deserve it. Congratulations on undetected, I will think of you when I have bad days on treatment and know that I face nothing compared to what you have been through. I wish you the best that life has to offer!

Very well done for getting through your triple therapy treatment with incivek and taking your last shot, that`s fantastic, and congrats on your Und results so far! You`ve already had to endure and cope with tremendous difficulties in your young life and I`m sure you`re going to come out of this a winner.
You`re an inspiration to us all, and I wish you all the best of luck with your end of treatment results and recovery.

Hi Nathan,
Welcome to the forum young man! I'm very glad you found your way here and look forward to getting to know you and your hard fought battle to beat this disease. You've impressed us all already with your story and the obvious positive outlook you have on life and your future. I'm sorry you have had these struggles almost your entire life and am hoping you will finally be free of all those restrictions. I have a daughter that is just a few years older than you and like her you sound older than your years. Your maturity and desire for a full and productive life is apparent to me and everyone. Keep fighting the good fight Nathan, you've been through a battle that most people will never experience in two lifetimes and you met the adversity face to face and showed it who's Boss. Good job and good luck going forward! You've got a great group of friends here and look forward to hearing from you again.

Nathan,
Welcome. Sorry to see you have to struggle with hep c at such an early age but sounds like you are on an easier path now. I have probably had it 35 or so years and now am almost 3 months on the Incivic. You have fought a heckuva fight for your age and am happy you are doing well. I know you have a lot of knowledge to share with some of us on the road behind you so hang out a while

Hi Nathan! Welcome. I too am happy you are here to be writing that! And I too contracted the virus at birth but did not have to go through what you have, i have been lucky enough that my body has kept it in check for 30 years. I am genotype 2, diagnosed at age 13. I'm glad it seems your latest combo is working and I wish you the best. Please keep us posted - this is a great place.

Hello my name is Nathan i am 21 years old and was diagnosed with Hep C genotype 1 when i was about 8 or 9 years of age. I contracted the virus at birth and my mother has no clue how she got it. When i was about the age on 17 i started noticing swelling on my feet. I then went to a doctor specializing in hep c and he said i was at the point that i needed a liver transplant. I was transplanted Oct. 11 2010 , everything went fine with no complications. Then about 1 1/2 years later i started building a lot of Ascites in my stomach and the virus was destroying my new liver and was already at stage 3. So then they started to treat me with incevek, interferon, and riboviren. Today is my last shot and the virus has been undetected for about 3- 4 months. I am planning to start school next semester and i am glad to be here still writing this.
