That`s good news then, Hope, and you`ll only have to be on treatment for 12 weeks with Sovaldi + peg/riba, which is half the duration you would have had to do with the older triple combos.
Best of luck with getting approval through, let us know how it goes!

Hi Hope,
Welcome back! As you're Geno 1a, I presume the third drug is Sovaldi or Olysio. Good luck with treatment- the side effects seem much more manageable these days. Cheers.

Hi and welcome back, Hope, good to hear from you again!
It`s great that you`ve found a new doctor and you`re getting ready to start treatment at last, it`s been a long wait for you. Is the third medication called Sovaldi or Olysio? Or is it one of the older triple therapy drugs? There`s a lot to take in with all the treatment options now available but I`m sure it will all become clear to you soon enough.
Best of luck with getting your insurance approval through, do keep us updated with your progress!

Its one of the ones with interferon and riba, just not sure about the third medication. He told me but I cannot remember...imagine that. lol
I have been around for 6 years, its close to 6 years to the day that I found out. But I am terrible about only remembering to get on here when I have been to the doctor recently. :/

Hello Hope,
Welcome back! I see you've been around for 6 years now! Wow, that's got to be close to a record, lol. I'm so glad to hear that you're going to finally get this approved. Which of the "triple treatments" are you going to take? I hope you're able to get approved for one of the new regimens without Interferon. They are so much easier on the body and mind. We've got several people here on the forum that are currently being treated with these new drugs and would love to tell you about their experiences. I wish you the best and as always, invite you to share your experiences as you move forward with treatment. Good luck!

I know I haven't been on in quite a while. But I finally found a doctor to take me seriously. My rx has been sent to insurance and is waiting approval. I should get a call this coming week. I will be starting the triple therapy finally! The light at the end of my long tunnel is finally shining through. Keep me in your prayers please! Thanks ya'll!
