I am on the new three drug routine. 5 ribavirin a day, 1 injection of pegasys a week, and 1 solvaldi a day. In two weeks, my liver functions are showing as normal, and the hep c viral load is non detectable. This is a 12 week routine, and, so far, I have had no side effects and am continuing to work a full 40 hour week job.
The drugs are not cheap. The entire course costs around $100K, and most insurance companies will not pay for it. PAN foundation (panfoundation.org) gave me money for the co pays ($457 a month), but I suggest your ask your doctor to see if they have a fund to cover the rest.
It is working for me. Hope it works for you!
