Thanks SuziQ....I thought the above was funny...I don't need the Riba to have that!! Have fun with your kitty. Nothing like a kitten to lift our spirits.

Hi Marcy,
The first couple of weeks I felt great. As time passed, I did not feel not feel as great as at first. The actual feeling of bone tired fatigue has not returned, but my energy levels are not as good as I would like--after 10 months UND. Of course, I have been under tremendous stress the last six months. As I really did not have a lot of symptoms from my Hep C, there was not a lot to change. And I did have riba, which you don't have. I really dislike this new irritability that riba caused. It has not decreased since EOT. Thank goodness you didn't get that.
Since your labs are better, you are probably on treatment. Not much experiential info that I could find. I only found 2 people posting about Merck during my trial. Neither still posts. My trial was a Phase 2 trial and this is Merck's first phase 3 trial.
My energy levels fluctuated during treatment, but my labs progressed (declined) on a steady basis so I based my treatment success on the labs rather than how I felt. I am sure that treatment has an effect on our system, but only time will tell how people will react to the meds. It is all so new that there is not a lot of info.
Glad your labs are better!! I have a baby kitty climbing on my neck and need to stop and pay attention to her--she just crawled up into my hair and is having a wonderful time--- I am not--I'm trying to post. So later.

Hello
I don't know what you may be on. My husband is on Sovaldi/Olysio. He has lots more energy but does still have periods of fatigue that he says is 'like he used to feel'. He also has some memory problems now occasionally which we attributed to the medication too. So, if you are on the medication and not placebo, it could be that. He said the fatigue only was a few days early on. He is on week 10 and feeling great, just mood swings. And sore gums.
Good luck!

Hi all,
I'm a little over 2 weeks on the Merck 1 pill combo phase 3 trial. The coordinator thinks I'm not on the placebo as my labs have been responding. I haven't had any side effects other than a strange headache the 1st week which is now gone. I have however had a LOT more energy than I can remember in quite a while. My main symptom of the Hep C for some time was extreme fatigue, foggy brain, mouth sores, and achy joints. So the great energy all of a sudden has been really great, mind seems clearer too.
Forward to today....did lots of running around with good energy then came home and my fatigue, foggy brain have showed up with a vengeance. Might this be expected? I was just so excited to have energy that I never thought I'd get fatigued again (dumb huh????). Has anyone else doing newer meds had this kind of response? Does it eventually go away again?
