I hope not, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if that happens. Insurance is a business. It was interesting to see that the Abbvie combo I am currently on is actually the most effective one for my treatment naïve 1a group.
If I had to choose a treatment, based on what I know now about effectiveness and side effects of this Abbvie combo, I would pick Abbvie. I'm not on any other meds to be worried about possible interactions and I really don't care if I take 5 pills in the am and 4 in the pm as opposed to 1, these side effects are very minor (IMO and so far) and I want my best chance for SVR.

That was an interesting article and comparison. The chart shows how close these protocols truly are in effectiveness. A big improvement to what we just lived through! It's going to be worth watching the providers and their reaction. I hope we don't witness increased limitations to protocols based strictly on price.
