I was paid $1,000.00 for the entire trial which cured me of hep C.
This blew my mind away so I donated this money back to the medical school.

I haven't been paid for any visits yet but have been told I will. They use a credit card system and its deposited to that card.

I receive $50 per visit to cover gas. It cost me about $45 per visit (I drive for two hours). I use the other $5 to help with lunch before my drive back.

Let me know if you get wind of what that Isis is up to, if you would, ok?
Hard to say but she is keen on disguises. She once crept past a German Shepard dressed as a poodle.
It sounds like Isis is a Master of Disguise and will be a formidable opponent. However it remains to be seen if Isis is able to disguise her true nature. It would be a feline first.

Btw, Isis is very excited about your new mouse. She may be planning a covert operation to get past your guard dog. I'll keep an eye on her.
Oh it's still me, I am just wearing a different outfit. I'm going to be a mouseketteer for Halloween. Let me know if you get wind of what that Isis is up to, if you would, ok? We will be extra-cautious until we figure what on earth that evil creature could be planning. I might have to add some extra security measures...

I was just wondering if they all did that or what? It was a nice surprise that they would actually pay me to go there. On top of free very expensive medication. I wonder if it is for some legal reason, like they are worried we might try to come back on them if all doesn't go well?
The contract you sign is for legal reasons; the money is for incentive or just to help out a bit with travel expenses, etc. There are some people who participate in clinical trials regularly to supplement their income and some clinical trials pay more.
HCV patients are motivated by the desire to get rid of the virus and everyone who participates has HCV. I expect we will see an increase in volunteers until the tx becomes accessible to all.

I get $50 every time I go in. It deposits to a credit card same day. A nice little bonus! I rented an RV space here in SanDiego to go thru the trial. well worth it for what I have saved, plus there's worse places to spend a summer.

I already got 2 checks. I deposited them in the ATM last night. Maybe they just disperse the money differently. Are you getting $75 a whack as well? I'm going to use that on my credit card. I never asked them if everyone was getting it - no sense looking a gift horse in the mouth right?

LC my first thought was the same thing. But then I remembered that on a couple different test days they did the same thing with my husband. I think maybe it is because people have to travel sometimes a long way like you. Luckily I live about an hour away so it isn't quite so bad. I actually do not know when they pay you tho. I had to sign a form at my 4 week blood draw so they could pay but no mention when. If they wait until the end of study we won't see it for a very long time. hehehe
