Hi folks, just to say that JoshuaShareWIK has still not contacted me to verify his identity so I would not advise anyone to get in touch with him.

My name is Joshua Schlabach and I am producer at ShareWIK Media Group which is a health and wellness company in Atlanta, Ga. We are producing a number of video segments for HealthGrades's Personal Story Network focusing on Hepatitis C and how HCV really isn't a death sentence. I would love to talk to someone willing to share their HCV management story. If you or someone you know might be interested in sharing your/their story please PM me and we can set up a time to talk. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Also, if you wish to remain anonymous and hide your identity we can absolutely do that. Hi Joshua:
HCV actually IS a death sentence for some but certainly not for all. Please utilize ShareWIK Media Group to present HCV stories from all points of view. Most of all, please educate your audience that safe and effective HCV treatment has been FDA approved, but that it is cost prohibitive to most HCV patients. This is a life threatening infectious disease that is now curable but for the costs. I'm sure we all appreciate your efforts.
P.S. Thank you for your offer to conceal our identities but we are not in the Mob. Perhaps I should speak only for myself on this point as there are some shady types here and they know who they are. :) The unwarranted social stigma that HCV carries is another area of concern to patients that the media could help with. While the majority (particularly younger) people who acquire HCV today are IV drug users the fact is that the overwhelming majority of existing HCV patients are not IV drug users. They are of the baby boomer generation who acquired HCV in a multitude of ways including via the medical and military industries. Despite the cause of the disease it needs to be eradicated. I hope you will spread that message.
