Hi Mugsy, meant signs and symptoms. Well, yes, there is a mass, but dr said if it was cancer I would have been showing S&S related to pancreatic ca. In 5&1//2yrs the thing has grown less than 0.7cm . The only tricky thing is most of the S&S fo the pancreatic Ca are same as hep c , gallstones, hypothyroidism and cirrhosis. But there are certain ones like the back ache, diarrhea and a few more. I have no weight loss vomiting , loss of appetite. Love hearing from U. You  got Hep C around same time I did. I got it in Chicago.....Michaele

 Hey Michaele. So what does "no s&s of ca" mean?? I know EUS I had one of those in 2004. It wasn't bad.  I like your positive attitude towards all this and I am hoping it is all just a false alarm. I had a false alarm in October over rising AFPs and liver cancer, but all my worrying was just wasted energy. Wish I'd had your calmness! So hurry and get this all taken care of and let's go hop on the Harvoni train. Keep us posted, ok?

Hi  Mugsy, CT on friday, EUS with biopsy 11/24. My GI said we have been watching that mass for 5 yrs and it has hardly grown. She was very optimistic, no s&s of ca, 1st biopsy was neg. so hopefully its just a false alarm.   Michaele   Hope your doing well.

No offense, but I wouldn't rely on God for this one.  Get it in writing.  

And get your doc to expedite the tests you need.   Keeping you on the dangle for months under these circumstances is just wrong.

Good luck with this Michaele. My specialty pharmacy specifically asked if I had any cancer diagnosis or terminal condition.  I chuckled and politely told them the cirrhosis and extra hepatic issues could do me in if I didn't get treated.  Praying you get started soon.

Hope it last a yr, I dont know if I will need any Tx for the mass, and TX nurse was all over the dr will not treat with meds until u have this mass taken care of. There are so many Dr.s how do they ever get on the same page at the same time.  Have a good nite and do something that u truely enjoy.

Trainhopper , You wont believe this but just before I go out to the dr for this Pancreatic mass disscussion the phone rings. Its a recorded message from OptiumRx Pharm telling me  my preapproval has been accepted/approved. They left a number for me to call. SOB, Im flipping out. I go back to this dr in 4 wks after test are done; cat scan and an ultrasound guided endo biospy. He said with the cirrhosis he wont do surg. and it might just still  be benigh. It grew 0.7 cm in 5 1/2 yrs. Wonder how long those preapprovals are good for.  I need to email Nell the NP.  MIchaele   Im tired of living like Im dying.  Hope u get everything U need and fast

Your guess is as good as mind, but Nell PA just called and would u believe they are going to have to put the whole thing on hold until I get the business of the pancreatic mass taken care of. So I have no idea, bet I need a biopsy and hopelully it will be benign. The thought of having a whipple surg scares me. Its always something.... Michaele  Going to discuss options today at Ca center, then I have appt with GI tommorrow, and will discuss more options.   But on the bright side," I dont look sick."

Hi, Ive been going thru BS for over a year, and just when I think its finally working out, something else comes up. Well, maybe my input will help, maybe it will cause the NP to be pissed with me. I dont know either. Michaele  Thanks for the Hope

I talked to the person handling my request and was told they only received 4 pages of lab results, no clinicals or biopsy reports, ultra sounds  or  statement to the effect that I am F4. She had talked to  Nell who gave her the rush on the phone. She told me, had Nell even said over the phone that I was F4 she could have put it in the report. So she said she would document it , and hoped Nell would call her back soon. The way it is now when she summits report/request  , if anything is missing or needed they will contact Nell directly. I had to explain I only saw this Specialist twice and Nell once, and that I was referred to him for TX. I do believe she said something about having to get statement from the doctor. I have no idea what is going on.  Michaele

I thought the prescripting was sent with the info to get preapproval, Im confused. They also require a history of prior tx, which I explained I was naive.
