As a continuing update to our guidelines, I am including the most recent reminder/disclaimer for those seeking medical advice. This includes recommendations for medication sources. All communication with individuals regarding sources and methods should be handled privately, between the two parties and not on the forum. There are legitimate sources and their are many more scammers out there to take your money, without regard to your health. Buyer beware. Always seek the advice of your personal physician. Thank you.

Forum Guidelines
Welcome to the Hep C Friends discussion forum, whether you`re posting for yourself or on behalf of your partner, spouse or friend. We hope you will find this forum helpful, informative and supportive. We like to maintain a friendly and non-judgemental atmosphere here so that all our members can feel free to share their personal experiences with us and feel comfortable joining in.
When joining this forum you agree to the following guidelines
* No advertising of commercial sites or offers. Anyone doing this will have their membership terminated immediately.
* Only one membership account is allowed.
* No personal abuse will be tolerated, whether on the forum or in Private Messages.
* We have a policy of maintaining a neutral stance on contentious issues like religion and politics on the forum and we prefer it if our members respect this.
* We ask that you please be considerate to other members of this forum. Abusive or offensive comments, language or other material will not be tolerated.
* Please refrain from using any language or content that could be construed as defamatory, harassing, judgemental, vulgar, obscene, slanderous, threatening, profane, hateful, or that contains sexually suggestive or discriminatory, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable material of any kind, while posting on the forum or in Private Messages
* We advise all members not to include any personal information in your comments and posts, such as email addresses, phone numbers, ect, as this is an open public forum and this kind of information can be misused.
* Please do not choose an animated photo as your avatar. They can be very distracting and irritating for other members.
* Avoid the use of and insertion (opening) of GIF and HD photo files in the message areas. Please leave them in the Icon format. They are distracting and don't work well in this forum setting. We will edit those when necessary.
* Deliberate `poaching` of members from this forum will not be tolerated. Members are free to belong to whichever and however many forums as they choose but this forum is not a place for others to recruit new members.
* We try to keep censorship to a minimum, but we reserve the right to edit or delete posts that violate forum guidelines or if action is required for general maintenance purposes.
Disciplinary Procedures
* There are occasions when we need to put into effect disciplinary procedures when a member is seen to ignore or repeatedly break forum guidelines, although luckily this only happens rarely. In extreme cases repeat offenders will have their membership terminated. Because of the nature of this forum where a lot of our members are feeling anxious about their health, treatment or future treatment, it is very important that we maintain a friendly, supportive and welcoming atmosphere.
* Any member who frequently ignores these guidelines will be sent an official warning by a member of the Admin team by Private Message. If after that they continue to behave in an offensive, abusive or disruptive manner then a second private warning will be given.
* After that point has been reached then the member in question is at risk of having their membership account deleted immediately and without further warning if they still continue to ignore forum guidelines.
* In extreme circumstances of repeated aggressive and or confrontational behavior we reserve the right to bypass these procedures and terminate the membership of the offending person at any point, without notice, and for the benefit of the forum as a whole.
* We advise that the best way to avoid confrontation on the forum is to ignore any offensive posts and allow the forum Admin to resolve any issues.
Please note that this site is not a medical forum, does not offer medical advice and should not be relied upon as such. All members should be aware that any advice given is the opinion or experience of the person responding and does not replace real life qualified medical advice and guidance.
* If you have any questions, please don`t hesitate to post your concerns on the forum or contact one of the Admin team members personally by Private Message.
Many thanks!
