Latest on generic Sovaldi and where and how much and official testing.  If I weren't SVR I MIGHT even consider a vacation.  But I am not sure about getting counterfeit drugs.  However, it will be wonderful for the many people in the poorer nations. latest news from Egypt regarding generic Sofosbuvir. It's getting interesting. Apparently Marcyrl was too early with news about delivering it's MPI Viropack to pharmacies.

of course there will be scammers. Already there is a warning about fake Sovaldi circulating on black market, but this generic should be in official pharmacies and they have pretty tough laws over there. Only worry is indeed quality control in production of generic Sofosbuvir, but since this is a legal volume license from Gilead, i hope there are no issues. Will let you know as soon as i get more information.

I am happy to know you are fast on decision. As for me, I would wait until first statistics or ct will come out (surprised, there are no quality test approved, or the formula is so simple to copy) And the country is well known as touristic place, and there are scammers for sure. I do not anything to advise about that.

Yes, Zlikster, don`t we all miss a good bit of Riba rage?!  Luckily I`ve managed to hold on to some of mine! 

As far as I know you`d need a residency permit to be treated in Portugal, and you`d still have to pay for some things like doctors` appointments but at discounted rates.  Lovely climate there though!

From what i have found. Marcyrl pharma from Egypt started distributing (4 distributers) MPI Viropack (400mg Sofosbuvir) licensed from Gilead last week to the pharmacies in Egypt. Cost is round 350$ pet bottle (converted from egyptian pounds). I still do not have information can it be freely purchased in pharmacies by anyone who wants it or is it only for egyptian nationals with prescription or there is a different price for foreigners. Looking for arabic active speaker to call pharmacies and double check. In any case, news about generic Sofosbuvir on egyptian market is REAL people :)

As soon as i get information regarding purchasing options i am off to book tickets for Egypt. "Cairo buyers club" for real!

i knew it i am gonna nail some Sofosbuvir love this year and i kinda miss some riba rage obviously ;D

I'm not sure about Egypt, but we recently had a member in the UAE that had mentioned looking throughout the region, but I'm not sure how that ended up. I honestly haven't heard many updates coming out of that area. There is so much turmoil in that country right now, it's difficult to say what is available. With Libya next door, it has to be a dangerous position to put yourself in at this moment. I'll keep my ears open and see what I can find out nonetheless. Malcolm has been on top of this and may have some advice or information for you. Hang in there!

Still, we should start talking about these possible generic brands of Sofosbuvir from Egypt which are, seems so, already on the egyptian market.
Would be great if there is anyone on Sofosbuvir based tx from Egypt on this forum to confirm which brand/name of Sofosbuvir is used in Egypt. PM me please!

On some egyptian websites there are warnings about fake Sovaldi products already on the market and that there is approved generic Sofosbuvir "MPI Viropack" available in 30 or so offical pharmacies (half of em in Cairo) from 14.02.2015. If google translated well from arabic, price per bottle is round 350$. Seems like a legit news, but you never know. Would be great if we had a proper verification from someone in Egypt. I was advised lately from quite a lot of reliable pharmacist and high ranking officials to obtain Sofosbuvir from Egypt.
