This is great news! 91 developing nations? That's fantastic! Come on Gilead, lets make this worldwide... You can afford it!

Hi Z,
The 13 people on the GS 5816 trial that i am part of are all undetected 4 week follow up. They told me hardly any side effects and only 12 weeks course.

Hi Zlikster, yes I was surprised as well to see that GS-5816 was included. I think you`re right about the time scale for it to be approved and it could be even earlier.
I thought you`d pick up on this one!

Tnx Jill,
i was pretty surprised when i saw news on Gilead's site how they will include (already) GS-5816 in licensing deal with India.
Finally some good news for GT3s. I presume GS-5816 could be approved early 2016, so maybe generic ver could be available mid 2016. Future is indeed bright!
In the mean time, i will ride on some Riba train again :)

(Reuters) - Natco Pharma Ltd said on Monday it has agreed a deal with Gilead Sciences Inc to supply generic copies of the U.S. drugmaker's chronic hepatitis C medicines, including $1,000-a-pill drug Sovaldi, in 91 developing nations.
Drugs under the deal with Natco include sofosbuvir (Sovaldi), a combination of ledipasvir and sofosbuvir (Harvoni) and GS-5816, which is in late-stage clinical trials, Natco said in a statement.
