My fiancé was just diagnosed yesterday with Hep C, he is on disability and gets Medicare A and B, I know here in Arkansas they will not let you get medicare and Medicaid both.
Should he apply for a secondary insurance now or is it to late to do so?
How expensive will treatments be? Will it totally wipe out his savings and investments he has?

Medicare Extra Help: Just in case there are people on this forum that are not aware of this Medicare program that helps pay for your prescriptions (copay) If you qualify for the program they will help pay for part B and no prescription will be over $6.60. They also will help pay for Senior Advantage Program.
In Wa. State you can also qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. You can check to see if your state has this duel Medicare/Medicaid. If you qualify for both of them the Medicaid pays for all your doctor visit copay's and for things like walkers, C PAP machines and accessory's, sugar diabetes supply's, etc.
In Wa. State the Medicaid will also help or pay for dentist work and copays. Eye exams and eye glasses too.
So if you are having problems paying for necessary health bills these programs are well worth checking out.....Roger
