Sadly it seems that HCV is gaining ground among the <30 year old demographic in Appalachia. It's important for us to get the word out in our local community about this disease. There appears to be three issues at hand here, IV drug use and HCV/HIV. All potentially fatal. Our most important contribution in dealing with this is to educate anyone willing to listen. Be an advocate for change and hopefully save a life. Encourage testing!
