Hi Mallani , I know this is an old post , but I Fx some ribs and the Dr. wrote Rx for Tramadol 25-50mg Q6 . I filled it but Im not taking it . I know for us it should be Q12 . But Im sure that there is something safer. I rather be in pain, than damage my recovering liver. I was reading how Tramadol breaks down into some really damaging substances once in the body. Any suggestions would be wonderful. Thanks and hope your doing well. PS: It was a GP that wrote the RX . Michaele

Rufus,
Not sure what 'toxins' you're referring to. Harvoni is metabolised in the liver and kidney. As tramadol is metabolised in the liver via the CYP pathway, I hope it has been approved by your hepatologist.
Dehydration should be avoided during treatment, so I'd give the 'sweat-box' a miss. Good luck and cheers.

Just started my 3rd week of 12. The sides compared to failed treatments is a cakewalk. I have been taking Tramadol in smallest dosage for a considerable time. I thought after my body would get use to the harvoni, my usage would slow down. It hasn't. All Drs are aware. Just hoping someone has experience or comments.
Last year I bought a sauna to sweat out the toxins. I have been using it 3-4 times a week. I notified specialist. Any thoughts or comments.
