This is a wonderful story - thanks for sharing it Malcolm!
I remember when I was making the rounds of gastroenterologists here, one of them told me I should move to Nevada since people with Medicaid as a secondary insurance could not get Sovaldi here in Oregon. Forget about Medicaid as your primary. Even with cirrhosis. I figured it would have been cheaper for me to go to India then make a move to Nevada and was trying to figure up how to come up with the money when a NP finally came through for me.
It would be nice if this story could go viral.

Hi guys,
This is the diary of an Australian who travelled to India to buy generic Sovaldi. It is rather long-winded.
The most interesting part for me was that he eventually had a Fibroscan in India which showed cirrhosis. This is despite a negative Ultrasound and CT in Australia. It makes my blood boil to read his story of how he was managed in Australia. Hopeless!!
