I'm still very, very fatigued. Went to supermarket today and was short of breath, difficult to walk. Didn't think I was going to make it. I have never felt like this before, even on triple therapy or after.

This is an update on last week's dr. visits. Monday I went to a doctor that gave me an injection of dexmethoson sodium phosphate 1 mg and vit B-12 cynocoblm to 1000 mg for the burning pain in my hands. The pain is 90% improved. Wednesday I went to my primary care physician and she wasn't happy that I had a steroid injection and in her opinion it could interfere with my HCV treatment. Because the injection was fast acting she wants to test me for vit B-12 deficiency and test my thyroid. I will get those tests tomorrow. She prescribed Lasix for swelling in my feet. Friday I went to my hepatologist and they said the injection would not hurt me. They think it's my immune system attacking my body. They also said I should be having liver ultrasounds every 6 months, get a vit. D test, get my next viral load test in a month, come back in 6 months. I'm still undetected 7 weeks post treatment and they feel 95% sure I will reach SVR.

Hello Monica
I was very happy to read your EOT + 4weeks, its a major step own your way to SVR.
The long 24 week Harvoni protocol seems to be a great way stop the replication cycle and to train our body to deal with the HCV. Looking forward to your next report and many more of our member on the 24 week treatment duration.

Hi Cinnamon
No blood clot so now on to X-ray and/or MRI. The pain did finally stop but the swelling is still there so I am hopeful. Yes, Harvoni is a very powerful drug and after stopping some people will have problems. Just so thankful it cleared the virus (so far).

Hi again Monica, post treatment issues with joint and muscle pain have been reported by some of our members after they`ve finished their Harvoni tx, and they usually seem to clear up after a few weeks. It`s still early days yet for you at only 4 weeks post EOT so your probably need give yourself more time to recover. Harvoni is a very strong drug combo and we`re still seeing how if effects different people during and post tx.
I`m thinking that the cluster of lung nodles are most likely unrelated though. Most lung nodules turn out to be benign and as they are so small I would try not to worry too much about them. Just wait and see how they are looking in 6 months time.
Good luck with the results of your ultrasound scan, you`ve got a lot going on at the moment and I hope you start feeling better soon.
The good news is that you`re well on your way to SVR, and that`s something to treasure.

Yesterday I had an ultrasound to check for blood clot. If it's not a blood clot then will do an MRI to check for a ganglion cyst. The cluster of lung nodules are very small and never showed up on a CXR (I had valley fever 2 years ago). I was checked to see if valley fever had reactivated and it has not. Doctor said to do follow up CT on lungs in 6 months and they are too small to biopsy at this time. I'm wondering if this is common side effects from Harvoni, respiratory problems and problems with joint or muscle pain. I felt a lot better when I was taking Harvoni than I do now. Hopefully this will pass; I'm so happy not to have the virus.

Monica, I am so happy for your 4 week undetected EOT! I am waiting anxiously for my results..they were drawn 5/26. We seem to be on the same road... I have been having problems with my RIGHT foot and ankle...initially doctor thought it was gout....but now they do not know....been referred to a rheumatologist.... I would like to know what your doctor finds...I too get the numb and tingling in hands....Also working in the health care industry, my Mantoux test converted to positive, but I have not had any treatment due to the hepatitis and liver damage.....I go for yearly X-rays..I worry about my lungs all the time. I am curious as to your findings ..
Sending good wishes your way .... Stay positive!

I'm still not detected after 4 wks EOT!! This is one of the milestones so I was very apprehensive and now relieved. Having problems with very painful swelling in left foot and ankle; going to doctor later today. Also having tingling and numbness in both hands. Recently discovered cluster of nodules in left lung. What else????
