HYdration is very important! I was never a big water drinker but did so during my 12 week Harvoni treatment.
I went for my 3 month post treatment on June 1st and Doc said-Byepbye! You are SVR-yahoo, so keep up the good work & I'll hope you're results will be as great as mine!!!!

I am not giving advise, BUT
this worked for me....
It is now my 6th day on Harvoni, as I explained below that I woke up on day 5, and was feeling pretty bad. So I decided to experiment, and make some changes to see if I could make myself feel better tomorrow.
So I focused on hydration
On this morning ( day-6) I awoke feeling good, the changes I made are as follows:
I am a 200 lb person - 200lbs / 2 = 100 ozs of liquid needed (as per a hydration study article I read)
I am drinking 16.9 oz bottles of water - so - 100ozs needed / 16.9 = approx. 6 bottles of water per day
I am now drinking one 16.9 oz of water every 4 hrs ( even wake myself up in the night to drink water )
I am not saying this will work for you......but it worked for me this morning.....
Now............. I'm going Fishing today
I am hoping everyone has a great day.....

KPB,
It's not uncommon to experience these side effects over the first two to three weeks. It takes a few days to build up in your system and now that it has, you're beginning to experience the changes it is having on your system. Others have mentioned this exact same thing and after the first couple of weeks, your body tends to adjust to treatment.
Keep eating well and hydrating the way you are. You're taking some powerful medications and the things you're experiencing are often par for the course. Do what you can to tough out the first couple of weeks and I think you'll notice these issues begin to diminish and be easier to tolerate. Hang in there, you've got the Dragon on the run!

I haven't started yet, but spoke to the pharmacist today, and he said some get nausea and headaches at first, and it settles once your body gets adjusted to the medication. I think it's different for everybody, so hopefully you will settle in and they will get milder.

I have been taking Harvoni for 5 days now, it seems that the first couple days the side effects were very mild. But this morning I was feeling pretty bad, headache, nausea, and fatigue even though I just woke up from a 9 hour sleep. I have been drinking 80 to 90 ozs of fluids each day.

Do Harvoni side effects build ?
Will I build a tolerance to these side effects ?
thanks,
