Hi Bills,
Man, you make life difficult. Is this your first VL test using Labcorp?
The Quantasure PCR test has been around for years. When Labcorp acquired NGI, the new test was called NGI QuantaSureT. They claimed it was more sensitive than Quest's Heptimax, and did not use TMA.
The LLOQ is 2 i.u./ml (5 copies/ml). They have always reported 'Unable to calculate result etc', which has caused angst to many patients.
Mate, you're Undetected. Rejoice!

Thank you Ro & Jill
Yeah I wasn't rally listening to anything until I called Labcore I'm thinking they do the test they better know why it wasn't conclusive. The other thing is all my other labs are improving or no real spikes so that's a good indication that the virus is breaking through or coming back. But for the good of all of us we know something new.

What kills me is that's the day after last pill my system probably didn't even know I stopped treatment. I'm glad I'm getting a second look anyway. I really do appreciate my doctors office getting on that so fast. I didn't have time to ask alot of questions before she said I'm sending you another scrip to get it done again.

Hey Bill,
I agree, imo that says undetected (unquantifiable). The Quest PCR does state it in terminology easier to understand. It'll come back UND. Congrats buddy!

Hi Bill,
I must say I haven`t come across this one before but it certainly looks like a virus undetectable result to me, and I don`t see any other way of reading it.
I can certainly understand why you freaked out when you saw it, after what you`ve been through in the past, but it looks good to me!
Well done, you can relax, you`ve got this!!

Evey day is another adventure 13 days After EOT I get my VL result said " Unable to calculate result" Since non-numeric number result was obtained.
The good news is I was told by Labcore this " Unable to calculate result" means the PCR/NIG test couldn't read any numbers " less than 5 copies" like saying theres none there. and she said it's considered NEGATIVE for HCV
Ive attached a few things in case anyone finds interest in this. My result for the Quantification Copy of the test that was ordered ( to show what they did ) and a 12 week look at my blood work just because I wanted to.
I almost lost it. Of course I tried to tell myself it was OK and my nurse sent me another script to redo the test. But all the memories of getting the bad news 3 times overwhelmed me. So i went to Quest to draw blood this time in NYC so it would get to my doc ASAP. So now I get a 2 week EOT VL.
My wife searched on-line for an answer and found some other discussion forum where they answered the exact same question. That is also in this PDF it was in 2006 but exactly what needed to see then i was able to sleep. I was waiting till morning to call Labcore in Calf. i can't say it enough maybe too much but I owe so much to all of you here, All the answers just keep popping up. You've taught me what to do for the side-affects and get my doctors to do whats right. I hope this may help anyone else that gets this " Unable to calculate result" whew glad that's over for now.
I had the wrong results attached this has my blood work also
