Hi coolheat,
Up to 50% of HCV patients have some cryoglobulinaemia. This is usually the mixed type. If your sample was positive after 24 hours then negative after 72 hours, I wouldn't worry about it.
Also iron markers are only altered in fairly severe liver disease. If the serum Iron and Ferritin are raised, the TIBC (Total Iron Binding Capacity) is usually low. 472 is a bit high. What is your serum iron and ferritin?

Picked up some of labs @ Dr.s office today, to understand some of my #'s better with the wealth of info. here. Says that I tested positive for cryoglobulin with no damage to kidneys. It was positive after 24 hrs. negative after 72 hrs.. Also says that I am 1a, which I thought I was 1b. Also says trace amt's of cryoglobulin detected at 24 hrs.. Iron studies were normal, but the TBIC ? was high at 472 . I guess it would be the actual liver biopsy report that would have what stage of fibrosis is present. Thanks all. CH
Mate, those are normal iron parameters.
