While it's nice to see an undetected result at 4 weeks, it's not unusual to have to wait until week 6-8. Some just take longer and as Gracie mentioned, some doctors won't do a VL until EOT+12 because it's so uncommon to finish treatment and not be undetected. It just happens, so I would concentrate on the excellent result given. Your viral load has taken a huge drop and that's a sure sign the drugs are putting their whammy on your Dragon! You'll be undetected soon, I'm sure of it.
If you would like, it would be helpful if you added your genotype to your signature line. 1A or 1B?

Hi Mona, I went to your bio page and dont see what geno type you are? If your a 1-b you need not worry. 1-b has a VERY high svr. 1-a is a little tougher to treat so riba can be added. Stay with it. RC

Hi Mona,
That sounds very frustrating. If it helps, I was on VP (no RIBA), and was still detectable at 4 weeks, but undetectable at 8 weeks. Keep going!

I asked her for a test during treatment for my own sanity, and she said yes, but not until after 8 weeks. For some it takes a bit longer to clear, but has no effect on outcome. These are very successful regimes. Us previous treatment failures will worry though, but statistics and results are very high on our side.
How have you been feeling? Any side effects?

Gracie, Thanks for the encouragement. I'll take your advice and just stay focused. I'm one third through! All the best to you.

Hi Mona,
No worries... There have been a few who took a bit longer to clear. My hepologist doesn't even recommend a blood test until 12 weeks post as the other tests don't matter one bit. You'll clear, just stay on track!

I just got my 4 week lab results.
HCV RNA PCR QT (IU/ML) is 97 Reference <15
HCV RNA PCR QT (LOG IU/ML) is 1.99 Reference <1.18
This makes me nervous. Has anyone else NOT been undetectable at 4 weeks and still go on to be Undetectable?
Taking exactly as I should. With food twice a day within the same time frame morning and night, haven't had a drop of alcohol in years. No other meds.
Just wondering if anyone has had same experience? Thanks.
