Glad to hear you're feeling better, that's what this is all about! You're wise to take the stress of physical exercise a bit slower as you recover from the last several months. It appears from your activity level that things are progressing nicely, that's great. The issue with fats and sugars isn't anything you have to worry about. They are difficult to process and can leave a lot of people feeling sluggish. It's a lifestyle change for many, but after you've started limiting excesses in your diet, you'll notice a big difference. Some people after limiting it in their diet can reeally tell the effect it has on them when they consume more than usual. I still do, but I limit it as much as possible. I don't recommend putting yourself in "diet jail" over it. Just eat sensibly and remember, everything in moderation....
I feel very strongly recommending you stay away from the supplements until after your SVR tests. They can alter the test values and you'll end up with inaccurate results. One of our members here, was told by the doctor to strictly stay away from them until week 12 and the tests were completed. You've got plenty of time until your final viral load testing, so I'd just avoid them til then. When you get your final tests done, you want to know what the true values are, not a supplementally enhanced or altered result. Make sense? After that, you're good to go. I would be cautious with the energy drinks too. Depends on what's in them and how much. While you're recovering, don't take something that might make you over exert. Some of those drinks can really push your metabolism to it's limit. Common sense will tell you much of what you should do. If you find yourself wondering if something is okay, it's probably good to avoid it for the time being.

Thank you allfor the support and encouragement. 4 more weeks until the SVR! The past week has been the best I've felt yet. I went to the gym twice and JiuJitsu twice. and I felt pretty good throughout the days at work. I agree adequate rest is imperative. I drink plenty of water. But Tig here's my question?: you say stay away from fats and sugar. So should I avoid bacon sausage and eggs for breakfast? I only do it about twice a week? And is juice ok, or just water? And what's your take on any type of energy drink? I have maybe had 3 post tx, but avoided them for like a year. Just want to get a take on what I should and shouldn't be doing . Been waiting for SVR so I can take a natural herbal supplements for JiuJitsu. I noticed that if I don't overdo things like just lift in moderation and don't do too many matches I'm ok. But if I cross the line the next day my clarity is off. I definitely noticed progress and I'm holding tight to the hope I'll be cured and life will go on. Thanks

Hi S1, congratulations! I'm not sure I would expect to feel 100% better ( not even sure what that would look and feel like) but I'm sure you can expect an improvement and to live a "normal" life. I'm still working through some residual side effects also and I understand the uncertainty can be trying at times. Listen to Tigy, he is one very wise man!

Hey Steven,
If you are undetected at 8 weeks EOT, the odds of achieving SVR are essentially identical to the SVR 12 rates of success. Congratulations! They won't give you the all clear until week 12, so you'll have to wait out the next 4 weeks. Were I you though, I'd be planning the celebration!
I think you'll see improvement within a month or two, just understand that everyone is different. Some feel better a week after stopping and some take months. I tell everyone that your recovery is based on your body's time table, not yours. You can improve your situation by following some common sense rules. Continue to get adequate rest, eat properly, reduce the fats and sugars, your liver hates them. Do your best to stay active but don't over do it. The advice we gave you during treatment still holds true, HYDRATE! It takes about a month for those drugs to clear your system, so dont expect your energy to magically return during that period, it happens afterwards. Life will improve, just let it happen. Patience my friend....
Dont sweat the testosterone right now. Mine was WAY lower than yours, in the 90's after treatment. It returned in time and all is well. Try not to worry, life as you want it will return and you'll be fine! Good luck buddy!
PS: I'm liking the beard! Looks good

Ok it's been 8 wks post treatment and my labs@7wks are undetectable with Alt 24, Ast26. All my labs seem to be within range, except my testosterone is down to 303 from 540. Most of my post TX pains are gone, hands and shoulders feel good. I have been experiencing quite a bit of fatigue and mental exhaustion. Dr Asi my liver"felt a little swollen " and ordered an ultrasound. My pre tx ultrasound was fine. Feeling a little tenderness around my liver, hopefully I'm just imagining it. Praying for SVR in 4 weeks. I had been feeling up and down but just had like six good days, a bit fatigue today, but I'm feeling better. Dr said "foggy " feeling has been reported and should be gone within 6 weeks.what do you guys think am I in the clear,? Can I expect to be 100% and live a normal life? Looking forward to moving on with my life! Please let me know hopefully I'm in th 98% who are cured
