Hi Bubble, yes your nurse is correct, EOT + 12 is now the accepted standard for SVR across all treatments. It`s the nearest we can get to saying `cured` at present, as the chances for relapse after that point are extremely low.
And yes, once we have been infected with the Hep C virus the antibodies remain detectable in our blood stream for the rest of our lives, even after SVR.

Hi Dragon Slayers ! Hey...I am on my second Abbvie nurse now as of last week. I have asked her also the golden question: What do you consider "cured" ? She stated that the FDA and in conjuction with AbbVie considers EOT+12 weeks the standard. I think this probably has been touched on elsewhere here but maybe I could hear from others and get a poll. I understand the antibodies remain in you.
