Staying adequately hydrated is vital to good health as well as very helpful with reducing the severity of many side effects caused by Hep C treatment medications. Don't overdo it. Although not as likely as dehydration, excessive hydration can cause issues too such as headache, cramps, bloating and nausea as well as unnecessary work for the kidneys and adrenal and pituitary glands. The amount of fluid your body requires can vary depending on age, sex, diet, activity, weather etc. Even without perspiration, the normal daily turnover of water is approximately 4% of the total body weight in adults. Some fluid is provided by the foods we eat but an additional 3-4 liters should be consumed daily. A good indicator of proper hydration is an adequate amount of urine that is pale yellow in color.
Be well everybody!
