You guy's are very creative! I hear the silk screen machines warming up. Mike, I think you might want to leave the dynamite out of the photo for the time being... I have a feeling we'll start seeing these pictures showing up on the shelves or as avatars on the Hep C boards! Better get those copy write protections in there now, lol!
I'm glad you pointed that out Tig. Probably not the best image to use right now.

I'd like to see the responses to a shirt that simply says "Think you're having a bad day? Try adding Ribavirin to it!"

Your in control Jimmy. This is normal. It's all up to you when the button should get pushed. Try another avenue. Stay positive and hang in there...... those old Harleys sound interesting. Do get the Labs in gear and ask when the Doc hands you the order for bloodwork. You do get used to reading them with this virus. Stay tuned to us.

Quick update.
VL and CBC to be drawn in the morning. Yes they blew it but it is what it is. No big deal 4 weeks + from SOT and now looks like THEY are getting on track. As for me it has been a faithful twice a day no misses since beginning.
I have a high degree of confidence this sort of thing won't be repeated.
As to my temper I am considering a variety of JimmK Inspired T-Shirts
"APPROACH WITH EXTREME CAUTION" Black with White Lettering
"RUN" This one is kind of cool. It has the background scene from Jurassic Park with a Red Headed Raptor.
"IF YOU DON'T HAVE A WILL, THEN YOU NEVER WILL" Kind a catchy I think. Red Letters over plain Gold T-shirt.
"REMEMBER WHEN MOM SAID NEVER TALK TO STRANGERS? LET ME EXPLAIN" White Letters over Red Shirt.
Maybe a couple of Al Pachino inspired "MY LITTLE FRIEND" Themes and an Evil Clown or two.
.... or not but now I am 5 minute closer to EOT so... :)

Hey Scruff,
Fellow Rider and 47 years into it Old School. I been riding since 71'. Have the Knucklehead and Pan in the rear view and now on a RoadGlide.
Done a lot of reflection and yesterday is the only day that my water intake was not too good. May have triggered a reaction who knows.
So far they have managed to mess up my blood tests. Did the 4 week yesterday and no SBC and No Viral load. They did do the ALT and AST so those numbers will tell be if the stuff is working. I have a face to face with the nurse next Wed the 18th. They will likely do the tests then and that is fine. Week 5 so in time I think to see if I should update my resume or not. LOL
Stay in the wind my friend and a pleasure to meet you!

Hi Jimmy
I read in another post by you about getting up in some ones face then being out of breath. Thats the riba all the way. Make sure they check your red cell count. I know that feeling well. When I was on tx that included riba same thing happened to me but I held my hands behind my back so my reflexes didn't kick in. (Your right about becoming a target at that point stay out of situations like that.) I knew it was the riba. I've been riding for about 47yrs. and had to park my bike in storage in order to take care of my Mom with dementia. I go and take it for a ride once a week when I was on tx I was highly anemic to the point of transfusion. I almost passed out kicking my old shovel (kicker only :) :) You have the rest of your life to ride so don't sweat it for now. I became anemic at about 6 weeks in so have them keep an eye on it.
Keep on keepin on.

Thanks Tig.
Stupid Box.
I am an old Harley Rider and one of the hard things for me was I parked my bike in the garage until I am through this. More concerned with brain fog than the anger. You have to stay sharp or splat, treatment over.
I am a redhead so the rash thing has simply turned me into a vampire and I do not venture out much during the day. When I do I am in a Dodge Ram so to be fair to folks around me I keep myself in check as best I can. Prior to today it was not an issue.
To me the blood tests are good to keep an eye on anemia but right now I don't feel that is an issue. If they want the tests then it behooves them to order the right ones. I think it may be something to do with I am using Primary care Doc for the Blood draws but they are ordered form the other Doc.
I suppose it would be nice to know what my counts are for week two and four but with another 8 weeks to go I am more interested in the week 6 range. Half way through, is it working or not? If so let's get on with it, if not, I'd rather be riding my bike. LOL
Thanks for yours Tig!

Hey Tig,
In an earlier post you had alluded to your extreme disgust and ensuing disagreement with a box of mashed potato flakes. I have been waiting to hear the whole story. THANK YOU; hope you don't mind but it gave me a bit of the giggles.

Hi Jimmy,
I'm just now checking in and as Jill mentioned, there's a lot missing on that report. Like everything is missing... The only thing I see is the name of the tests requested. Are there supposed to be results included with the PDF you posted or is this all they provided?
The Riba rage isn't a pleasant experience for anyone. I had a bad time with it, really bad time.... I had to be careful when I got behind the wheel of a car. We've got the worst drivers in the country down here and they all come out at once. Unfortunately they were here for the entire 7 months I was on treatment. Road rage was the activity of the day each time I got in a car. The anger and moodiness Ribavirin causes is real, and can be almost frightening at times. I got into a fight once with a box of mashed potato flakes. I was inside my confined pantry room putting things away. It wouldn't stay on the shelf, kept falling out as I was putting groceries away. Well, after the third time, it hit the counter and since the box was already open, some spilled across the counter. That was it...... I got so mad that I destroyed that box by throwing it against a wall. I was shaking by the time I realized what I was doing and it shocked me how fast the rage exploded in me. Those potato flakes are still showing up! I had to move my washer and dryer recently (same room) and I found enough flakes hiding under them to have made a serving of mashed potatoes. Lesson learned by that one. Whenever you feel that sort of thing affecting you, avoid the spark that might set it off. Find a way to walk away and return to the issue when your head is in a calmer place.
When you get those results, let us know and we'll help you decipher them if you need assistance. Don't worry about it though. You're still very early into treatment, so these early results aren't indicative of your end result. I'm sure they'll show some good progress though. Stay positive, stay the course and watch out for potato flakes.....

Thanks Much CG, you are greatly appreciated.
I had heard of the rage but figured that symptom was N/A to me as it has been four weeks so far and a pretty cool ride up to this morning.
I have the Meds so if they mess up the testing they have to figure it out. I still have blood left and if they want more they can have it. I will leave that to them.

Ah yes, I understand, thanks.
The sudden outburst of anger is a typical 'riba rage' reaction, and you handled it well . Do your best to stay calm, most of us who've had experience of ribavirin will have felt just the same at some point. It won't last for ever, just take it easy and go with the flow.

OK, the detail is the order for today's draw so there are no results.
The rest of the order is personal information, name, address, insurance, etc. I redacted the rest of the order as it was N/A to the issue.
I was able to bring my temper down by looking in the mirror. I am not that good looking when I smile let alone when I look like a Tomato ready to explode. That was a really srange rush of anger I cannot explain.

Don`t get stressed, Jimmy, it will all work out ok I`m sure!
Can you tell us what the results of your ALT and AST are, please? That will give us some very useful information. Maybe it`s just me, but I can`t see that bit of the report in your link, it`s cut off.
