Hey Tig
Congrats on two years SVR, as great as that is for you personally and it is really inportant.
The 1 1/2 years since you ended your treatment has been even more remarkable because of your comittment and devotion to the Hep-C friends and all on this forum who has been touched by your kindness ans encouragement.
I think a bible proverb says it very correctlly about Tig
Proverbs 17:17 "A true friend shows love at all times, And is a brother who is born for times of distress." from the New World translation

Happy 2 years! And many more. You are a blessing to us and much gratitude to you. Yeah, the interferon does leave one a lovely shade of gray... even though that was 20 years ago, I remember it well. But we are looking forward now, no remorse, no regret to quote an old Metallica tune.

Congratulations Tig!! Going through the 'old' treatment was a little like being Gandalf in Lord of the Rings lol. You prevailed and we are the benefactors of your great fight with all that you have done and continue to do for those in need of advice, compassion or just someone to lean on. You got it all my friend and to top it off, you always seem to go that extra mile for us Tig and that is noticed and appreciated.
For those who are taking on this battle with the 'new' meds, you are now charged with continuing the fight and thank you as well for your perseverance and courage!
Thanks just seems to fall short of the gratitude you rightfully deserve Tig...now get back in there and keep up the amazing work lol.

When the mountain before you,
Seems too big,
On the other side,
Youll find Tig,
Been there done that,
Come with me,
Inspiring us all,
To also be free,
From the Dragon, and the heat of his breath,
Thinking once his curse was death,
Indeed it shall be, a death that is,
But wont be ours,
Instead its his.
Follow the steps of those like Tig,
And the mountain crumbles,
Was not that big.
Ok ok corn and cheese I know. LOL
Congrats Tig!

Hey Mike!
Thanks buddy, I really appreciate that! I was just talking to my daughter about the day I completed treatment in Dec of 2013. She said I was so gray, weak and a shell of what I was, they were worried. I'm so grateful that I achieved SVR, but those Interferon triples were brutal on all of us. I would do it again if that's what it took, but glad I don't have to go through round 3 of that stuff!
The newest protocols available today, are shorter, more effective and present fewer side effects than ever before. I know the successes of each new protocol will bring additional rates of success to those that follow. We have all been willing to pioneer the treatments available at the time, so we could improve the chances for the next. I'm proud and grateful to be part of this caring group of people. My thanks to all of the Warriors past, present and future! Together we're going to decimate the beast we call "The Dragon"... Never give up!
I meant to post this earlier but I've been super busy elsewhere all day. You had quite a journey trying to get that SVR report Tig and you certainly deserve a big party to celebrate your 2 yr Hep C free accomplishment. You are such a big part of what holds this forum together and I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing you a very big HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
