mallani - thanks for the reply. I'm gen1, don't know my fibrosis stage but it's not far on at all, my beginning VL was 1.9M. Now its' "under 20." My Dr says that a third of his patients were "barely detectable" after TX. But only 1 of that 33% has failed to reach UND.

Well done for getting Harvoni and getting through 8 weeks of treatment.

'Barely detectable' is just your doctor's way of being kind. At this time, the virus has not 'gone'. You are obviously below the level of quantification for your Lab but still detectable. If you could post a copy of the actual report, we could be more specific.

The LLOQ varies depending on which VL test is being used. 15 ME/ml is common, but some Labs use tests with a LLOQ of 12, 10 or even 5.

There are reports that some patients may be Detectable at EOT but still go on to SVR. It would be useful to know your Genotype, fibrosis stage and starting VL. Good luck.

Hi - I just finished 8 weeks of Harvoni TX. The Dr said the labs looked fine and my viral load was "barely detectable." I needed to come in 3 months for my next lab. Can anybody help me understand how the virus can be "barely detectable" and be gone? Would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you, Prosser999
