I'm sorry but I think these posts are ridiculous! You didn't get hep c from oral sex... and if ur und since 04 without treatment your body kicked it naturally. This forum is for people how are battling this disease or have already come through it. No one should have to read these posts, good luck to you my friend but I hope the mods take out the trash!

I am 32 Y.O., diagnosed in 2004 by a physician but I am certain I was exposed in 1999 or early 2000 around age of 16 unprotected oral sex. I am certain infected blood entered my urethra. I am thankful that I am UND and I will test again but can we agree that HepC probably can hide in the body similarly to HIV.
As for the immune system fighting it off which some people I hear can happen, I also think if that happens you never know you were infected or experience the long lasting symptoms.
I don't want to discuss the science. I took an antibody test in 2004 it was positive, VL from then til 2014 Undetectable. Now the antibody test is Negative. Now it is NASH and Fatty Liver.

Greetings Friend,
Whereas the Internet is a wonderful tool, it does not replace the words and wisdom of a good Doctor. You began with a self diagnosis based on symptoms but I can tell you, I have had and do have Hep C for better than 40 years and have never had a symptom. I began treatment at about the slightly less than 4M VL and have recently failed.
It may be helpful for a bit more information. Age for one.
If you are undetected you do not have Hep C. You may be positive for the antibody but that would be the case with anyone who has contacted it yet perhaps their own Immune System successfully fought it off.
There are many problems not related to Hep C that have your symptoms and it may be good to seek other causes than to concentrate on Hep C. If UND then you should remove that from list and seek other answers.
I am no Doctor but the UND after so many tests is simply that. UND.
Happy to have you here but again a bit more information would be helpful.
Happy New Year and welcome!

I am so lost on my situation. Felt as if something was wrong, around 2000s computer and internet access became more available and by mid 2000s search engines of my symptoms lead me to Self-diagnosis of HepC.
General Physician conformed this in 2004 through antibody blood testing. Started with a Gastroenterology and we went looking for the Viral Load. First twice a year then once a year up until 2009 and for over those 5 years I was undetectable.
In 2011 I repeated my antibody test and it came back negative or non reactive for HepC. Which from what GI doctor told me antibody test would always be positive no need to ever recheck it and the Viral Load is what's important now. In 2014 I again took HepC viral load testing and some other testing due to all of the problems I am experiencing again it was undetectable again but my condition has done nothing but deteriorate.
STEATOSIS SCORE (NASH) 0.88 (Abn:H), GGT (NASH) 82 Abn H, ALT (SGPT)/AST (SGOT) NASH 64 Abn H, CHOLESTEROL, TOTAL 225 Abn: H, GLUCOSE, SERUM 112 Abn: H, TRIGLYCERIDES 236 Abn:H
HepC antibody test in December of 2015 NEGATIVE/NON REACTIVE.
I read some other peoples issues in different forum, fatigue from things such as going up a flight of stairs or throwing a ball in the yard. I have the same issues, loading dishes or getting tired from holding a basket walking in a grocery store. My distended stomach even though I don't drink alcohol at all and that is the way it is whether I eat or not. To steadily what I call losing a meal. I went from 3 meals a day with snacking in between fine to 2 meals a day to 1 and now appetite is gone and I eat just for eating sake.
I have experienced pain in upper right quadrant, anyone who has experienced it knows what I'm speaking of. It is comes and goes. Diarrhea all of us suffers know all about that from foods that would never have bothered us before acquiring disease now causing immediate seeking of a toilet. Insomnia at night, and dead tired during the day that I can't control staying awake no matter what I'm doing. Muscle and tissue wasting, bone pain, doctors look for jaundice or yellowing in the white of the eyes but no one thinks to look at the teeth, I only noticed because I have never smoked cigars, cigarettes in my life or drank coffee consistent enough to be the cause. I go to sleep at night only to wake up with back pain. My bowel movements also have an odor of the food I ingest leads me to think the whole process of digestion is out of whack. Name your symptoms I know them.
Can anyone relate to the fact that initial diagnosis was Hepatitis C but now it is that I have Fatty Liver. People say undetectable is the goal which is what all these new treatments are achieving but I can attest that what I am suffering through is not what I would call cured.
I repeat my response to your duplicate post.
