I finished harvoni two weeks ago (24 weeks). I had the finger (and foot) pain intermittently throughout. Like flare ups. Foot pain has subsided some, but still have hand pain. Not sure if it's joints, muscles or bones, but when I make a fist, it hurts. Hoping that clears up.
I am also more tired since finishing. Falling asleep every night in my chair and being tired in the morning when I am trying to get up. It hasn't stopped me from anything though, and still manage my exercise. Ran in a 5 k race New Year's Day.
Worst symptom is anxiousness for 12 week test.

Hi Gifthealth!
I too have been having joint pain on and off. As well as occasional skin itching, esp. on my face. Use to be on hands as well. I read somewhere that that is a sign that your liver reacting. weird little itches that I scratch once and then.. gone!
Sometimes the joint pain is not in my finger joints but the bones themselves... feels like shin splints in my finger bones. Very painful but that has gotten better over time and comes and goes.
When I treated with peg and riba , first go around, it took me a good 6 months to start feeling norman and good. And it was sudden! I just woke up one day and ...boom! back to normal.
Riba is a weird drug for sure. I also read somewhere that they don't even really understand how riba works. Wish I could have gotten harvoni w/o riba.... but on the other hand , I am reading a lot of harvoni patients having the same joint pains.
My energy level is pretty good, but I must get 8 hours of sleep per night and I take naps occasionally.
Don't worry.... the riba will fade over time.

Hi GH,
Congratulations for completing treatment! I'm surprised you're able to maintain a physical workout routine, as rigorous as yours sounds. My own opinion is that you should give yourself time to rest and recover from treatment. The Sovaldi clears your system quickly, usually a week, but the Ribavirin takes 6 months. It also causes some anemia, and that could be the cause of your exhaustion and muscle aches. Sovaldi is also known to cause some joint pain, especially post treatment. So my suggestion is to slow down and give your body some time to adjust to it's new lease on life! It can take weeks or months to get back to normal or as close to normal as possible. Don't strain an already strained metabolism! Good luck!

Hello Everyone.
I completed my 12 weeks of Sovaldi and Ribo about 3 weeks ago. Yes, I am feeling a little better every few days, but I am still far from my pre-treatment energy. I am needing about 10 hours of sleep every night. After I try a 4-5 mile hike, I need 11-12 hours of sleep for 1-2 nights afterwards. My body is still very sensitive to a lot of stretching/yoga workouts and I get sore joints after this type of exercise. I am accustom to working out on a regular basis and doing my long distance running routines. I would like to get back to this level of exercise, but I am still far from being able to do this. My Ribo rage is almost gone. I am still experiencing some skin itching.
I would appreciate hearing YOUR experiences with regaining your energy after finishing treatment.
