Thanks for all the encouragement, it means a lot when it comes from peers who understand from personal experience.
I wasn't really a fan of organised walks before I took on this challenge, but decided to give it a go as it seemed like a way to get me off my butt and out there doing exercise. Here there is a programme called Green Prescription where your doctor can refer you to a Gov funded programme to support people who need to exercise more. In some was I don't fit criteria as it is mainly aimed at people whose main exercise is going to the letterbox each day. However, because at the time it looked like I may need a liver transplant I got on the programme to get as fit as possible pre op.
Green Prescription has made a big difference to me as it got me out of bed and the house and actually putting the effort in. I did a 10k "Fun Walk" during treatment which gave me a real boost. Health deteriorated since and it has been an effort to get going again.
The next planned walk is 12ks and on the hills - a real challenge as I live on the flat. It is an important walk for me as it is organised in remembrance of the people killed in the earthquakes here 5 years ago.
All of you in the Northern Hemisphere envious of our summer tempts - you will be warm when we are suffering grey, cold wet days. Though snow here is a novelty and an opportunity for the 4 wheel drive club to be heroes.

You are doing really good! And you will do fine at the half marathon in June. It will be warmer definitely in June

It's minus 17 here with a foot of snow... Just sayin'. I can handle it. We Canadians are tough like that. Built to last... Now where's my snuggie ...

Wow Ari! That's some pretty impressive recovery you have going there. Sounds like a good plan to help "change/challenge negative thinking". I'm jealous of your energy and determination and also a little jealous of your weather at the moment, 26 F (-3.3 C) here tonight at my house in SE USA. Keep up the good work but don't over do it.

Nice,
A 6.5 K walk clearly indicates someone is feeling pretty good. Keep on trucking!

Great to hear Ari, wow ... you must be feeling better.
I enjoy walking but that would be one of my longest walks (at least in the last 10 years).
I hope to one day feel well enough to do some trail day hikes again. We live within a few miles of National Forest with many, many miles of very nice trails. Congrats on doing so well, you should feel very good about it!
Nice to hear, keep up the great work.

H Ari, this all sounds like excellent progress, how wonderful for you to have managed the walk so easily, and especially in all that heat! And very encouraging for you to hear how much healthier you`re looking, what a boost!
I`m very pleased to hear how well your post tx recovery is going, keep up the good work!

Hi Team, I saw my Naturopath today - first time since before starting treatment. She said I looked the healthiest she has ever seen me! She also suggested I stay on the same supplement routine for another 6 weeks or so (which will be after my post tx final blood test) when, if virus undetected, we can revise and reduce. Be a good side effect of recovery to be paying less for supplements!
Also, I walked to the appointment (6.75ks or just over 4 miles). Despite not really sleeping and a 30 degrees centigrade max temperature forecast, I managed the walk at my pre treatment pace. I was wrapt when I checked the walk statistics - when starting out I was convinced it would be a slow walk and I would be lucky to make the appointment in time.
All appears to be on track for my recovering from tx plus for doing a 12k organised walk next month as part of my long term training plan to walk a half marathon in June.
We don't usually reach 30 degrees here, normal summer temp is in the mid 20s )
