That's strange because I remember seeing that post in the Chatbox and now it's gone. Wierd! What did you do to it Dave? What else can you make disappear? My mortgage? Please?

I wouldn't worry about it ... I just wanted to point it out so you were aware of it, that's all.

I've had this happen before but I tried to reply to Tig's post at the Sov/Riba Train and it just brought up my previous post as if I had tried to edit it (I didn't hit the edit button). Tried several times and still can't post there, still having the same results.
The server software keeps previously entered content in memory unless that content was deleted before you left that screen before. Try selecting the 'HTML' tab and delete everything (text / code etc.) in the reply area, then select the 'Visual' tab, enter your reply, then select 'Submit Post'.
This may or may not help but until you know it may be wise to create you're post in a text editing program first then copy/paste into the reply area. Might save some typing time?
In another incident, I noticed a new member (down in the Forum Statistics area) and went to her Profile page. There I saw that she had one post but it hadn't shown up in the Chatbox. I clicked "Member Posts" and it took me to the New Members forum. I was able to reply there then it showed up in the Chatbox ... but as noted, her original post had not shown up there.
What was the date / time differential between your post and her post previously post in that thread? And it would also matter how many post were made in other threads (forum wide) within that time frame.

I kept having the same thing happen ... getting the prevous post in edit mode ..
... so I just cut all the text out of the box then wrote the new post into the edit box and it ended up posting as a new post.
Appears ok now I think, just stuck in edit mode for a while for some reason.
I think it has to do with remembering your edit if you don't complete the edit.
I know I've left in the middle of an edit and come back a short while after and when I went to edit again the edited text was still in the edit box.
If any of that makes any sense.
Not a problem from my standpoint, I now know a workaround if I experience it again.
Like I said though, seems to be back on track now ... I still think it was probably Gremlins ...
... in my experience Gremlins can be mischievous little rascals.

We're looking into it as best as we can Dave. I haven't had the same trouble, but we'll keep an eye on it. Will have to report it to the forum software company if it continues. Thanks!
