Nope. A 2% cow would be an insult to those Cinnabon's, kinda like a double cheeseburger with the works, large fry, blueberry turnover and a 'DIET' Coke.

Hey Mike,
That's not one of those "Skinny Cows" is it ... that just wouldn't be right with Cinnabons
... that one there's a down right friendly looking cow, gotta admit.

Great information, RC has the IR thing going on and got much worse during last round of treatment which was expected. We will defiinitely file this info and watch. May ask Dr, about all this on Monday during screening. Everything back in control right now with insulin and strict diet. Since foot operation I am in control of the menu! Lol

Hi Canuck,
Interesting post to be sure. I was told in 2001 that I was diabetic and started watching my diet. I monitored my sugars and went to the hospital to learn about it all. Before the end of one week, the hospital said, We don't know why your Dr. said this, your values post meal are perfect, your A1C is perfect. It seems that I am really as they said glucose intolerant.
That being said, I was always aware and would randomly check myself after going through 6 months of checking 4 times a day and writing down absolutely everything I ate. Of course year physicals would check as well. I knew that stress would raise your blood sugar just like it does your blood pressure.
Last April, my doctor now said I might consider taking Metformin based on being higher in levels but still not over them. I still have the prescription and never took them because my home results are still fine. In April we will see my new results and I have changed my diet.

Hi Canuck,
I too was Dx as "pre diabetic" so this is quite interesting.
I did see that with my 4 week lab results, for the first time in years my glucose level was within range.
I won't be too quick to jump to conclusions since the Sov/ Riba may have some direct effect on glucose levels.
'Twood be nice to see that glucose level remain within range after SVR as well and know, in the back of my mind that drugs are being studied now that may help stay in range if need be.
Always like to try to control what's within my power via nutrition, exercise etc but it's reassuring having a backup plan if necessary.
Thanks,
Dave

This is interesting Canuck. I was pre diabetic at one point and fortunately my glucose levels have returned to normal since SVR. I'm sure there's a connection between HCV and insulin/ glucose levels, so these studies can be quite useful and informative. Thanks!

Just in passing, found this a little interesting about them exploring metformin.
Ok then make it a LARGE Diet Coke!
By the way what is up with that?
