Good article Matt.
My Neurologist said that sensory PN was most common in HCV and he had not seen any motor PN. I hope he's right.
My numb feet are undoubtedly due to HCV cryoglobulins rather than Interferon side effects.

I agree, that's a great article Matt. I'm going to add it to the Forum News so everyone gets a chance to see it when logging in. That should prove very helpful for the members. This kind of research and documentation is hard to find in a single professional article. Good job!

Thanks Matt!

Hey Everyone
Here is very in depth article / study about extrahepatic complications, affecting various organs in the human body. Numerous HCV patients suffer neurological manifestations, ranging from cognitive impairment to peripheral neuropathy. Overexpression of the host immune response leads to the production of immune complexes, cryoglobulins, as well as autoantibodies, which is a major pathogenic mechanism responsible for nervous system dysfunction.
Around 50% HCV infection patients complain of neuropsychiatric symptoms, brain fog, fatigue, and also show quality of life impairment upto some extent, regardless liver disease severity
