Wow, yeah, I must be, or near on. I was surprised to see even Zlikster beat me to the finish line - happy for everyone though! I don't mind getting the bronze medal as long as I get one! I think after my run in with old TX there is nothing that can phase me. I look forward to the day that I never have to walk into my Doctors office again as a patient. Now that is something to look forward to - she is lovely though. :D I hope life is treating you grand!
Thanks Shadow fax,
On my first TX I reacted fast and badly to the therapy, and the addition of needles made it a very hard experience for me. I have since got over my fear of needles - Well not panicking at least, as I wanted to do I.V.F which was also a lot of needles. In general, since I seemed in one way or another to have been up that hospital far more than I'd care to be. I'm feeling liberated to get this done and free myself. I may even try I.V.F again once I've cleared. For me this is a beautiful moment in time that signifies almost being reborn. It sounds romantic and silly, but I had to wait another 2 years to get these medications and short of having my mouth sewn up and my limbs ripped off, those pills are going in! :P
I'm sorry to hear you are sensitive to these meds, but the body does adjust. THese are beautiful pharmaceuticals created especially for us, now that is a perfect gift. :D x

I just saw this! Excellent and glad you are on your way to good health. You probably won't have any problems at all that you won't just shrug off. I didn't and I am super sensitive to medications. After the first few days, it will be Meh, this is nothing.
I am so glad you finally started. Be well

Hey Lisa
Super congrats on starting treatment, you have been one of the longest member that been seeking treatment and a true survivor waiting patiently or maybe not, but now is your time and you will soon say my favorite saying.

From here out its all about staying compliant getting good rest and clean food.

Say it ain't so! Don't change a thing, I'm just getting used to this new speed reading app, lol! If I made the signature line bigger, it could take a lot of page space that would then require a lot more scrolling between posts. I was able to increase the size to 300 characters, just for you. Lisa,
Hope today has been a good day, with no surprises. Don't forget to keep the water bottle by your side, all day long!
Thanks Ragdoll, its a breeze :P
Hi Tig, nothing really to write home about. Heart rate is slightly higher, and a little dry mouth, apart from that, nothing at all. I don't feel anything tbh. All is good on this front, beginning to visit the loo a lot, water logged! :D

Thank you Canuck,
I think it is a good time for people to treat, and before we know it, Hep C will become another historical disease like so many in the past.
I can imagine you have some reservations as you are waiting on a trial, but these drugs are proving again and again to be so effective, with little side affects compared to the olden days, you'll be next! :D. I think perspective certainly is the key. I am not worried even if I do get minor side effects tbh, I know in 12 weeks I am rid of this monster in my veins and what could be better than that - Ok, death by chocolate cake (fudge/chocolate) sounds almost as good! :P
I just read the thread "Need your advice" about the poor guy who is going through transplant liver rejection. There is nothing scary about treating compared to what could happen. I hope by sharing our positive stories, it will help people take the next step as there are so many afraid of pharmaceuticals. I genuinely feel great, nothing has happened apart from taking some pills and I got some new boots :P
The sun is shining and its officially summer - Feeling blessed. :D x

IT IS a lovely day! - the sun HAS finally come! - what a wonderful day it is!!! DAY ONE! First pill past the lips. ahh. You so deserve all the nice things that ARE going to follow, and we too are lucky (we all get to enjoy it, right along with you). It IS a very happy day.
I saw you approach this day with as much excitement, hope and relief as I did when I approached Day One - maybe more!! Except ... unlike me, you armed yourself, very well, with much good positivity than I was able to muster!!
I really appreciate your attitude, it counts for much! This will be so rewarding for you (and us). Happy day!
Now, I'll say, this really IS the best way to celebrate the start of your summer solstice!

A--Loopy Lisa pulling her dragon slaying sword out of her scabbard, and going into battle.
Q--Is she fighting alone?
A--No, She has amassed an army of warriors, hepcfriends, all batteling along side her.
Q--The Dragon doesn't stand a chance dose it?
A--No, fortunately her sword is the best weapon available today to kill the beast!
That is lovely to hear Gracie, it certainly makes it all worth while. This time no sun sensitivity, that is rreally the best bonus of all. :D x
