That's worth investigating Zlick. I think it will require some routine RAV testing to see which variants may exist. With the combo's available and those in the pipeline, I think we'll witness a fairly bullet proof set of protocols in the near future that will hopefully start covering all the bases. We can hope, but considering the advances made since we first treated, the outlook is very promising.

So happy for you Zlickster. I think at 12 weeks out its done and dusted for you.
I was on same treatment as you but have G2. I think because my liver is in such a bad state that they wanted to make sure it's gone. My SVR 12 isn't until mid August as I ended up doing a further 12 weeks of Sof/Dak.
Like you though, I am wondering what the options are though if it's still there. I don't think Vel has been approved in Oz though- we are miles behind you in everything, so at the moment I'm just hoping that relapse is not a word I need to fear.
Once again, so glad it's turned out so well this far for you. Maybe it feels like a bit of an anticlimax after all you have been through?? Don't forget, no matter how you feel physically, facts are you have beaten a killer disease.
Yaaayyyyyy!!!!!

Cheers folks, as i mentioned, not in a full celebration mode yet until SVR24 :)
as for post tx life, i presume it's more psychological, since i was more optimistic and felt better after i have finished Peg+Riba than this round. Might be, since i was pretty exhausted from Peg, that back then as blood cells were recovering and i regained my weight back, that was THE impression of getting better. This time after easy no sx tx like this, heck i feel the same. Maybe if i have been on double dose of Riba, then i would have feel something from RBBC recovery :)
@Tig, cheers man! Always good to hear Another one bites the dust for another SVR (tho it's bit ironic since Freddie lost battle with HIV)
@Syd. Sof+Dac-+Riba was best option for us GT3s, until Vel was introduced as Dac killer. I wonder can we be retreated, in case of relapse, with Vel?
best

Hey Zlick!
Really big congrats on your EOT+12. Such long hard work you have done, and you did it SO well!
Another "3" DONE! A "former" 3, "used to be" a 3, "was" a 3 - oh ... don't I just LOVE using the past tense!
Please do keep us posted, on EVERYTHING!, from EOT+24, to if your tinnitus ever improves at all over time.
I know why you insist on restraining yourself from party hardy, but, you will not stop US from doing so for you, as WE all believe you did it, even if you won't allow yourself to believe it quite yet. I know, once burned, twice shy, but your numbers (with these drugs) tell a dif story this time.
You go ahead and party soft if you have to, and WE'LL do all the party hardy!
Really happy for you.
Thanks for letting us know about the rumour you heard - rumbles of generic vel in China. Sounds like it won't be long now, before many more 3's and other GT's will have access to these fantastic new daa's. Will also be interesting to see if vox will start to come along with sof/vel too in the very near future.
I hope, one day soon, riba will not be required.
Good job you did man. C.

Hey Zlick,
HOORAY!!!! So glad to hear you finally found the success you have fought long and hard for. You can wait for SVR24, which will simply double nail the coffin of your now deceased Dragon. I know that each test, regardless of when, gives you a touch of anxiety, but rest assured you're done my friend. We've all been waiting to hear your good news, but I know Malcolm has been waiting to hear from you. He'll be very pleased to know you've achieved SVR12.
I wish you the very best and hope you check in on a regular basis. We'll be looking forward to your SVR24 confirmation and celebration. Personally, I'm putting on my dragon stompers and going to start dancing to Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" in honor of your SVR12!!

@Pablo, 12w of Sof+Dac (chinese APIs, encapsulated in Sydney bought via Dr.Freeman's FixHepC buyers club), and 600mg of Riba daily. Barely detected (16 IU/ml) on w4, UND from w8. Looking fwd to SVR24, then i can close the hcv chapter in my life i hope :)
I have already seen (unverified tho) Velpatasvir APIs on chinese market. Sof+Vel seems to be even better combo than Dac+Sof.

just got my PCR EOT+12w result today, undetected! Now, i will again lay low and won't celebrate yet, since my hepa told me to do EOT+24w PCR too.
A big thank you to all the folks on this forum for all the help and support! And of course a BIG thank you to chemist Jeremy L Clark for inventing a wonderful molecule C22H29FN3O9P (Sofosbuvir), hope he gets reckognition one day for what he has done. A big thanks to whoever discovered Daclatasvir @ BMS (hope inventor wasn't ripped off like Mr.Clark was). Huge thanks to amazing Dr.Freeman and his mission to bring affordable generics to everyone.
