Hi Ruth, Welcome to the forum! Sof/Dac X24 is just right for you, especially with a fibroscan of 22. The SVR results are the same w and w/o RIBA. You should do well with very minimal S/X. It will be a cake walk compared to the last treatment you did. RC

Hi Dave W- As your a GT-3. Adding 12 more weeks can't hurt! Sounds like your doing ok with the RIBA, if your fibroscan is over 12 then adding the extra 12 weeks will do the job.How is the RIBA going? RC

Thanks Ruby,
We look forward to seeing you get on this Tx. (You've done treatment before so probably know most abbreviations but if you ever need it I have a link to site abbreviations in my signature).
Thanks for adding to your signature line, it helps you from having to repeat yourself (some of us have bad memories, lol).
Do keep us posted and please do use this site for support throughout Tx.
We'll be here for ya the whole way!
Dave

I have logged some of my info in my signature. As a newbie to this site I didn't really know what that was and how others were posting their personal info :)

Well, I have to agree with both of you - Linux and his "yippee" that you DID get another 12 weeks, and with you Winfrey about the "best news I never looked forward to". Well put! But I am very glad it turned out this way, post-meeting-of-the-minds. Viral "death by triple", kill em' good fer sure! As a 3, (soon to be known as a "former" 3) you are doing the right thing for yourself! (Ya, I know, easy for me to say ...) but to me this extension was very good news! C.
Ruby, I hope you don't have to wait much longer before you get to start your sof/dac. C.

So Dave W,
Are you approaching EOT, from what I can tell you are there or very nearly there??
How cool is that, sounds like you are doing well in spite of the Riba

Hi Ruby,
Being approved is great. It seems to be one of the longest and hardest battles we have all fought here. Now that you are, it won't be long and you will be on your way to getting rid of this insidious virus.
Stick around and keep us updated as your your journey begins.

Hi Ruby,
Congrats! All sounds very promising.
Could you give us a little background ... it would be most helpful if you could put some info such as Genotype, Viral Load, Start of Treatment (when you start) and Fibrosis Stage in your signature. Here's a link on how to do that in case you need it. Signature Line Set Up/Abbreviations
Glad to hear that you are able to now take the new DAA's which will be MUCH more tolerable and, of course, WAY MORE EFFECTIVE.
Dave

Hi Everyone :)
I am currently waiting to see which therapy I will be going on. According to Momentum and Claire Program I have been verbally approved for Sovaldi and Daclatasvir (Daklinza) All my paper work is in, now just waiting for my medical info to reach my insurance company and/or other hands in this process. I believe this to be a very good sign. Looking at 24 weeks.
