Hep C progress coupled with Heb B now being the main focus for Gilead (thanks for the article Canuck) ... it's an exciting time and makes the video below a reality for all types of Hepatitis ... liver lovers unite we need a concerted effort to do this.

I agree with D .. Linux considering the way there has been leaps and bounds in the science and the pressure will be on getting the costs down so everybody can have access to these drugs. Lets hope so.

At the current rate it may not take as long as 2030 (we can hope), "World Hepatitis Awareness Day" IMO should be every day until Hepatitis is gone entirely, the bottleneck will not be in the technology but in reducing costs and getting the meds to those who need it. It's doable but it's going to take a global effort and a push from leaders, drug manufacturers, medical professionals, as well as individuals worldwide. As individuals we need to make sure we elect leaders up to the challenges that lie ahead and put pressure on drug manufacturers and insurance to find solutions and reduce costs in order to achieve, at least, the 2030 goal.
