I took the colloidal silver so long ago I totally forgot until I read this and no it did not do anything. I think it was between TX 1 and TX 2 for me. Like Tig said, I was willing to try almost anything back then. But prayers and patience paid off

I took milk thistle for a few weeks as well. All it did was make my stomach hurt.

It wasn't a silly question Derek - this is what the forum is for.
I took milk thistle for a few months before the DAAs were around. Of all the natural remedies milk thistle some half decent evidence (but not good quality evidence). Did it help? I can't say for sure that it didn't help a little bit in reducing inflammation but my LFTs remained the same.

Greetings,
I just found a couple more penny's.
We have all from time to time listened to the snake oil salesman. Used to be one of my favorite guys in the old Cowboy Flicks. Little Big Man, Josey Wales, they all had their share and it is old as can be.
One time I was surfing and ran across a true miracle cure. Did not matter what you had, you got it and it cures it.
I gave it a shot. Why not? It was cheap and what did I have to lose?
Did the treatment for six weeks before I finally got pretty sick from it. 12 drops mixed with pure citrus at a 50/50 ratio. The citrus was there to release the reaction you were looking for.
End of the day, had the stuff looked at and it was basically Pool Chlorine. Great stuff for killing pathogens and parasites, just no so much in the Human body.

Hi Derek,
You're welcome my friend! Lots of great people willing to help. No silly questions here, bring them all on.
It's something we have all done or considered. There are a lot of claims out there and they offer everything from improvements to overnight eradication. Back when treatment was so brutal and ineffective, people tried a lot of things, snake oil included. I'm certain there are several people living the high life because they offered products and results that didn't and don't exist. Thank goodness the researchers understood that and kept at it. Now look at the recognized treatments available!
The best thing you can do before treatment is to get tested, obtain an accurate diagnosis and treat yourself with as healthy a lifestyle as you can. Rest, a healthy diet and staying active will provide you with far more benefits ahead of a proper treatment regimen, than anything from SnakeOil.com
I love this site. Thanks for the info. I think my best best is to stop self educating and wait for my diagnosis. lol. Have a great day. I am sure I will have more silly questions/ideas.

If I might add my here, forget it. Colloidal Silver will provide you nothing in the way of benefits. DO NOT believe the claims made by the sellers.
Silver is a mineral. No medical evidence supports the effectiveness of colloidal silver in treating any illness. There are a lot of claims out there just as there are a lot of sellers out there.
Chlorophyll is great. I have been taking it for years and years but not to treat Hep C. It is not an Anti Viral. What it is good for is to assist in balancing the Ph levels. It is an alkaline so helps to offset the acidic side of Ph. This is good in helping to prevent cancer.
If the combination is touted as a cure for Hep C, stick with Snake Oil. At least it tastes better.
Hep C is serious and should be treated with the DAA's designed to destroy the replication process. Any other approach is unfounded and in my humble opinion not worthy of consideration.
My 2 cents my friend.

Hi Derek
I can understand the desire to get on with treatment but I'd be very wary of any natural treatments. Mostly because they don't work for HCV. If they did we'd know about it. And any claims made wouldn't stand up to proper RCT-level research.
But also, if you are about to start treatment sometime soon you don't want to be taking anything that could interfere with it.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who welcomed me to this forum. I know I said this already, but you people brought me the comfort and understanding that my Dr. cannot provide. I am still waiting on blood work and ultrasound results for more info. I was reading about natural ways to this disease and came across "the silver bullet", witch is clodial silver and chlorophyll. Has anyone ever tried/ heard about that? And if so what are your thoughts?
