Thanks so much, what a lovely comment. And I`m so glad you did stumble upon this forum, in the time you`ve been here you`ve made such an impact on forum life with your great (and somewhat offbeat!) sense of humour, constant support and down to earth advice to fellow Dragon slayers, and I hope you`ll continue to do so for a long time to come. You`re a good man, Jimmy, thanks for being here...
Hi Mike...
You`ve been such an inspiration to me, and I`m sure to many others here too, and I can`t tell you how much I admire the way you cope with whatever life throws at you. I wish you all the very best, from the bottom of my heart, and yes I will be keeping in touch. Thanks Mike, for so much...

You were administrator when I got here, then moderator, and now member. It doesn't matter what your title is, you'll always be the 'Heart' of this forum in my mind. Thank you so much Jill for all the care, compassion and knowledge you have shared with me, and so many others, over the past years. Enjoy your new home and keep in touch!

All I can remember is stumbling in here, knowing only that I had a Dragon and my Doctor was all the sudden, ( after years of just keeping an eye out ) talking about treatment.
You were one of the first people I ran into. Made it easy to stay.
A very patient and kind soul you have.

What lovely comments, I feel quite humbled reading them, knowing what so many of you have been through to get where you are today. Being involved with the forum over the years I`ve learned so much from our members about strength, courage and compassion, and I have the greatest respect for you all, my fellow warriors.
Hi Malcolm...
Wonderful to hear from you, our guiding light for so long! Yes, it was such a pleasure and actually a real honour to meet you and Lani when you were in England, and I`m so glad I had that opportunity to chat with you both face to face. A really lovely day, even if I did forget the ice cubes!
Take care of yourself, all very best wishes to you and your family, you deserve all the happiness that comes your way. Huge thanks for everything.
Hi SF...
Hello, and thanks for your kind words, much appreciated. Yes, I`m just starting to really relax in my new home now, and I don`t intend to move again for a very long time, if then! Looking through your latest posts, I see I owe you belated congrats on your one year anniversary of starting your Harvoni tx, what a milestone! You`ve come so far since you joined us, and I`m very happy for you. Also glad you`re still around. I wish you all the best for a healthy and happy life...

Jill,
How did I miss this ... I suppose I have missed a number of things.
I want to thank you for your dedication and words of support that you have given to so many. You were always here for me and so many others in our hours of need and yes, we needed your support and that of all admins and past admins/mods and others just here taking the ride.
I wish you the best and please do enjoy your new home. I know it can be stressful in the move then a delight afterwards. I think you know how much you are appreciated here and I will always look forward to you popping in and just saying hi and how you are doing.
Take good care and we will be thinking of you.

Jill,
You will always be in my thoughts. When I did my dreadful 48 weeks, you were there for me, with compassion and wise advice.
Meeting you in person was a great thrill for myself and Lani, and we hope you enjoy your new abode.
I know leaving the Forum is difficult as it was such a big part of our lives. Seeing the new treatments, I feel a profound sense of relief.
Enjoy life.

Hi Jaggles, how kind of you... thanks!
I remember when you first joined us, and I wish you all the best of luck with getting your treatment sorted out soon. I know how frustrating it is waiting around, but with the new financial year approaching hopefully there`ll be more money in the NHS pot for treating Hep C sufferers with the best drug options. The fact that Jane -n- Phil have both recently been approved for Epclusa must give you a lot of hope!
It`s exciting living in a different area now and I can`t wait to get out and about exploring, as well as all the home decorating I`m planning (!) but I`m sure I`ll still be popping in from time to time to see how you`re all going.
Take care and thanks again...

Hello Matt...
Thanks so much for your kind words, I`m overwhelmed and moved more than I can find words to say... and also very happy to see you here again!
It`s been a real pleasure working with you too on the Admin team for so long, and I`d like to thank you also for everything you`ve done here. You`ve reached out to so many of our members and done some great work on the forum, driven always by concern and care, and your thoughtful input is still very relevant. As you can see from the Harvoni Treatment Train thread you started, and which has helped so many of our members connect and share mutual support, just one of many excellent ideas you`ve come up with over the years! I know you don`t find the time to come here very often nowadays but your input is still most appreciated!
Hi Canuck... as always, so full of kindness! You bring a ray of sunshine with you with each and every post!
Well folks, I finally moved into my new flat on Wednesday last week, and it`s already starting to feel and look like home. It`s been a long time getting to this point, I`m sure I must have used one of the slowest, most inefficient, solicitors on the planet! Lol Anyway, it`s been worth the wait, I love living here already.
All my very best wishes go out to you all...

Hello Jill
Our queen of forum, our Cinnamon girl, our mother of the forum and many more terms of endearment that could and should be said of a Jill has proved to all of us veteran members and new members that she has given every bit of her blood sweat and tears that anyone has ever has given to the purpose and vision of this love driven forum.
Love of people and purpose has driven her commitment of care revealed in words chosen in the most loving gracefull and caring way that I have every experienced on any forum in the world. Grace under fire and humility are hard to find qualities but working with Jill on the admin team has proven true to me she truly displayed them and knowing of the troubles and tribulations that sometimes present themselves I can truly say that Jill has enbodied those attributes.
Few members can relate to writing over 5500 posts not mention hundreds of private messages responses from countless problems and concerns from the membership helping members that are under stress, depression, anxiety, confusion, disappointed, disturbed and demented with the patience of a loving mother. (Sorry Tig your close but not mom)
So Jill thanks for all all your intense love for humanity proven true by all your countless hours and work for us forum members. The thoughts of your content will never be lost or forgotten because it dwells in the fabric of this very successful forum because of you and all that have come before you and all that will come after.

Yes, it is hard to cut the ties we`ve all made here, definitely. This is a wonderfully caring community and I`m very glad you`re still here, giving support and sharing the love. You`ve become one of the mainstays of this forum over the time you`ve been here, and it`s people like you who help make it such a welcoming and safe haven.
And you`re quite right about the bike, I bought it second hand some years ago and really had no idea anyone would be interested in it. I`ve actually sold quite a few things because I`m downsizing, but that was definitely the star sale! And the cash will come in very useful when I`m doing up my new flat, ready for the house warming party!! Lol

Many thanks indeed, dear Tig and Canuck, your kind words mean more to me than I can say!
When I joined this forum all that time ago I had no idea it would become such an important part of my life for so long, and that I would meet so many amazingly strong and brave people along the way, many of whom have become good friends. It`s been an honour and a privilege to have been involved in the Admin team for many of those years too, which was certainly not something I had envisaged at the start!
It`s also quite incredible to think back to those days when the only treatment option for HCV was the old Int + Riba combination, and I remember thinking how lucky I was as a GT3 that I only had to do 24 weeks, rather than the gruelling 48 wks that so many others had to go through, and often with low expectations of achieving SVR at the end. Thankfully so much progress has been made since then, but this forum still has a very valuable role to play, and I know that it will continue to be a safe haven for anyone who needs the support and information that this community provides, with Tig leading and showing the way with a smile and open arms for all who need guidance.
Since clearing the virus my life has slowly improved, way beyond my expectations in fact, and so my life has moved on. Quite literally too, with a house move just around the corner! And of course, what do we do after a move, throw a house warming party of course!! Everyone`s invited, bring snacks and ice cream!!
I`m stepping down from my role as Moderator, but I`m not saying goodbye, I`ll still be popping in from time to time to see what`s happening and say hello.
I wish each and everyone of our members the very best of health and happiness, and most of all, a life free from HCV. And for all those on treatment or waiting to start, keep going and never give up, you can do this!!
All my very best wishes, Jill
Ps - My tricycle didn`t make it to the packing list, Canuck, I decided to see what it was worth and to my surprise I discovered it was quite a rare model which had only been manufactured for a few years, so I sold it for good price to a cycling enthusiast who had been searching for that particular model for 13 years!! Life can be so strange sometimes!

Hi Everyone,
It is with joy and some sadness that I announce to the Forum, our past Administrator and current Moderator, Jill - Cinnamon Girl, has decided to step down from those duties. She assures me that she will still grace our pages with her knowledge and friendship as often as possible. I'll hold you to that, Jill!
Jill has been a pillar of strength here on the forum. She has been a member since August of 2010. She came here seeking support and information, as she was about to embark on her own battle with the GT3 Dragon. After 6 months of Interferon and Ribavirin and then having to wait 6 months to find out the results, she was cured!
She took the reins of the forum from the original owners instead of seeing this treasure trove of support and information go silent. We all owe her a debt of gratitude for her love and tireless work to advocate for all patients and families touched by this nasty disease. She lost her husband to HCC secondary to HCV, so her pain and commitment was deep. She is one of those people that has walked the walk and given so much. The measure of how many people she has helped along the way, is too great to quantify.
Let me say thank you, Jill! Your work and compassion, has touched tens of thousands of lives around the globe. You deserve a place in the Hepatitis C Advocates Hall of Fame. You will always hold that status here.
Enjoy your new home and all the joy that brings. Again, thank you for guiding me and all the others to the HCV free life we have or soon will. You made our lives better by showing you cared and you did it from the heart
