I think my hep c may be back after harvoni. My urine is really dark again, ....... I'm now going through high fevers starting in afternoons, ranging from 100- 103.7, .....I drench the sheets and pillow every night...."
Greetings,
Forgive me for dissecting your post but I did so for a reason.
1) Dark Urine
2) Fever
3) Night Sweats
#'s 2 and three combined lead to dehydration. That can easily account for the dark urine.
Go to a Doctor to determine the cause of the fever and the rest will follow.
Normal folks without ever coming in contact get sick. We are not yet used to being "normal" and tend to blame everything on the dead Dragon.

Hi Scot,
Welcome to the group, but I'm sorry for the circumstances. Canuck is right, you sound sick, but that doesn't mean Hep C is back. You need some attention and bloodwork. If you have another infection or virus present, you can have any or all of the complaints you mentioned. The large bowel passes through the area occupied by the liver, you can easily be experiencing pain from that. I have trouble like that, a lot.
Your text said you found out in August that you had cleared the virus, correct? Once you achieve SVR12, the rate of relapse is <1%. You will always be positive for the Hep C antibody, you will need another HCV viral load to confirm your undetected status. The chance you have is remote at best. Take the test if you desire, but first you need to see your doctor or Urgent Care to find out what you're dealing with right now. Good luck.

Hi Scot,
Sorry for your troubles.
You sound not well indeed!
I certainly hope you have been to the doctors, ANY doctor!!
If not, GO!
Yes, you sound ill, but you need to be checked for a multitude of things that you could be sick with.
Was the Harvoni your first treatment, how soon did you "go UND" during your 12 week treatment, and what was your level of cirrhosis/fibrosis?
You indicate your Harvoni treatment was "last year", so, what date was your Harvoni tretament completed and how many VL check-ups have you had post-tretament, what date was your last UND?
Those basic bits of info might be more revealing for us to muse over, as would knowing how your ALT/AST/bili's performed before, during and after treatment.
Do you own any other ongoing health issues (aside from the HCV you had treated), ie, hx of gallbladder, are you prone to chest infections, have kidney irregularites?
I certainly hope you have been seeing doc(s) for follow-up (in all health areas) since Harvoni. Fever, cough, nightsweats, dark urine are symptoms that you should NOT be fretting over, all by yourself - NEVER ignore fever and cough! GET IT CHECKED OUT!
Look for the simplest explanations first, sweats and dehydration for example - thus darker urine, interspersed with unlucky bout of flu and perhaps ongoing chest infections, perhaps you are just having an unlucky, slow and lumpy recovery to full health from a successfully treated HCV infection? How will you be able to rule ANY of these things in or out without bloodworks and exams by a doc?!
It would be unusual for a relapse to occur so very late after successful treatment. Although of course our minds go there out of fear. I would be thinking to rule out other more likely explanations.
Please do go to a doc, as soon as possible, start ruling out the most likely reasons for your symptoms, which MAY NOT be a HCV relapse.
Sorry, you must be worried on top of not feeling well. GO to the doc and get some relief to know you are still UND and find out what else is up. C.

I think my hep c may be back after harvoni. My urine is really dark again, I've been sick 3 times in the past three months. I'm now going through high fevers starting in afternoons, ranging from 100- 103.7, a constant cough, pain in liver area that pops when I cough. I drench the sheets and pillow every night. Has anyone had harvoni and it come back?
