Canuck, I'm hoping your recent testing yields encouraging results! You are such an encouragement to others here. Praying that the karma comes around and bites you.

Hi again Meow,
I've been out of town quite a bit for tests, so, was kinda late for your arrival, but I did say hiya to you (and John and Mallard), where you posted over on John's "On Treatment" thread - nice to see you have got your own "On Treatment " thread going on here!
Don't be scared. And like John mentioned, don't be looking for sides, you may just be disappointed when you can't discern them! Flush your system anyway, every day! WATER! - a gal a day keep the sides at bay. Feeling yuck, or getting a headache seem to be the most common things people complain of when on anti-virals. Sound like you will hardly notice feeling yuck as you are already right in there with the fatigue!! Headaches and yuck BOTH respond really, really well to copious, consistant watering! I have been long post-treatment, and I can still cure a headache coming on with liberal dousings of water! I learned the hard way how important it was to be very vigilant and consistant to drink enough to maintain a diluted state - it is so easy to underestimate water volume in - unless you have a water consumption "system" set up (fool-proof like).
You have been having your fair share of other things going on, prior to treatment (lots of us have as well), and I think most of us can relate the profound fatigue you mention (do I ever!). Post-treatment, not only do we become X-heppers, but many of us have seen resolutions and big improvements in other related (or so-called un-related) maladies as well. Some of us have have had marked improvements in many areas! - so, something else very much to look forward to.
Glad you will be keeping us posted on how it's going for you, we will all want to know. Glad you are on your way! C.

How you feel since you've started your treatment? Not bad at all huh? Well I trust you will have an easy go at it.

I just took my 1st ZEPATIER pill a few hours ago.
So far so good. Honestly, I'm feeling a little drowsy, but I'm always tired.
That's the next health issue I need to tackle head on. I swear I could drink the strongest coffee ever then take amphetamines THEN fall out for a six hour nap- like I didn't miss a beat. So that's a little Worrisome TBH.
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and type two diabetes in the last few years. The diabetes went untreated for quite a while, so the doctor believes that has something to do with it, but that's another story for another post and time ...anyways back to liver stuff!
I am excited for this course of treatment but I am also scared.
I have a natural proclivity towards anxiety-especially medical related anxiety.
In my mind if there is a side effect to be found, IT will find me, and it will be bad. The worst ever. EVER. OK I know that sounds a little silly and dramatic, but it's the truth.
I do not want to let any type of fear or anxiety stop me from following through on this. I know that it's not going to be sunshine and roses, so I am going to need the support of fellow zeppers ( my cheesy as can be nickname for people on Zepatier) & fellow friends w/Hep C ,
If you are on the same journey as me, no matter what medication we are on for treatment, I believe that we can all support and help each other through this .
(I just wanted to feel cool by coming up with a nickname for people on Zepatier )
Looking forward to meeting all of you, looking forward to helping everyone in anyway I can through this journey, and I wish nothing but health & happiness for
