Hey jojo!
Glad to see ya here and for your update.
Nice report, on all counts. Glad you are doing well. As it should be. Thank god for modern medicine eh? But, as well, what we still go through to get and stay healthy and with the living!
You have done particularly well I'd say!
All us commonwealth gals (in the United Nations dept of liver health) have done super well!
I am glad you have been busy and have had a busy year. What life and living is all about! Good on you. C.
PS - So, they cancelled your SVR24 VL and LFT test on you eh? Well, speak to your regular family doc about that - they may be able to assist you in getting you your VL checked, and, it would be easy-peasy for your family doc to have your LFT's checked at just about any time, budget-wise (no matter how austere any health health budget is!). For someone with your health history ... your LFT's are justified, and they will NOT break any bank by having your LFT's done repeatedly (at least on a fairly frequent basis), as well as your AFP, and (as well) I would ask for another VL from your family doc and just see what happens. Aside from these labs, I would also want an abd. ultrasound in the future and a fibroscan, as part of my post-hepc cure follow-up.

Hi Jen and Canuck! Such a long time since I've been on the forum; I feel bad about not checking in more often but it has been such a busy year. When I finally checked in this evening and saw your post, Jen, I had to log in to say 'Congratulations sister!' So pleased that you are clear and enjoying life. I got the notification of SVR12 on 25 Jan (seems like yesterday, where has the year gone????) and was expecting another blood test and maybe a post treatment fibroscan. But I got a letter in March to say they are no longer testing at 6 months after EOT, that I was deemed to have (and I quote) 'successful clearance of hepatitis C (a cure)' and 'you are now discharged from the clinic and no further appointments will be sent'. Bit of an anticlimax really! So we are both clean and free. My one year 'breast cancerversary' has also passed and all is well so far. So all the stress and anxiety of 2017 seems like a distant dream, hope that's the same for you too. Cocojojo xxxx

Hi Guys
Thank you all for the lovely Messages.
Yes, Canuck i Know, Details - I am so sorry - I have contacted the doc for those details (just for you) and will pick them up on early next week as i am visiting the grand kids in Queensland .
I have been so busy in the past few months, went to Cambodia to help a local village called Prey Vang - the poorest people are the friendliest and most accommodating. We had an amazing time especially with the children of the village - met 1 boy with ASD his family kept him in a jail like scenario to protect him from himself - As i have a son with ASD i was able to help them understand and explain to them the he needs to be included in life and village activities rather than excluded from life in the village.
My hubby and i ended up spending every minute with this boy - teaching him how to play Aussie Rules Football "Go PIES" , Cricket - its OK you guys don't know about that sport to well, Australia has shamed itself "Big Cheaters" LOL!
We stayed in a Tin shack with bamboo flooring as our mattress - No Electricity - No Running Water and the weather 38 degrees whilst humidity was around 95% Stifling Hot - Bottled water was my best friend i drank it, i showered myself with it and i held onto it like it was Liquid Gold!
Food, Fresh as you could get! Lizards, Cockroaches, Snakes and Dog its all available - Me I am a Woss, i took 20 kilos of food from Australia to cover myself whilst at the farm we ate a lot of Muesli bars and fruit snack boxes.
We should be all very happy we were born in the great western world!.
Mike - 15 little days to go, i am on your countdown 14 left - you are so close to the prize Good Luck.
Take care all

Jen!!!!!!!!
Hey, so glad to see a post from ya again, and with your good UND SVR news!
We need details, details!
Update your signature line will ya, we have been in a blind (since you were on treatment) as to your VL's!
(If you ever did get VL's done!), they were not posted in your sig line.
So, if you had any VL's during your 16 weeks of Zep, could you add them to your sig. line?
Also, I am not sure you ever wrote down your EOT+12 week VL (your SVR12), and, I assume your post today reflects your EOT+24 week VL (your SVR24)?
If I have any dates for you correct, (your EOT should have been around Nov 15, 2017) then your SVR12 date should have been about the first week of Feb, 2018, and the date for your SVR24 should have been about the first week of May, 2018??
Details, details! my girl. So nice to see you here again. I hope life and family matters are under control, under your trusty hand. I know your hands were very full. Let us know how you and your family and extended family have all been doing.
Just grand you are free, as you should be. ; )

Congratulations and hurray and also yippee, Jen!
it is a miraculous time we dragon fighters are living in. I worked on an hcv forum many years ago, when most everyone was suffering through the 18 month or so, interferon/ riba treatments (or experiments) and I saw so much suffering and disappointment, it brings me such joy to know that we can get rid of this virus with relatively easy treatments and avoid the comparatively mild side effects with just drinking lottsa water..
Enjoy your good health.
{and thanks for sharing your wonderful news with us}

What fantastic news Jen, from a fellow Aussie. We didn't meet while you were on treatment, I have found these wonderful people since. I started Epclusa 8 weeks ago and hope to hear I am free of this plague in October. I have 4 weeks to EOT, then I have to wait for October to learn if it has been successful. I am thrilled so for you. Congratulations. What an amazing feeling it must be. The shines for you.

It's been a while since i last posted. I hope everyone is drinking plenty of water and doing their best to be mindful and taking things easy whilst on treatment.
