Have you noticed a metallic taste at all? There has been mention of that before. Cardboard beats aluminum foil, every time!

Day 3. Yesterday's lunch and dinner tasted like cardboard to me. This morning my oatmeal and fruit was delish. But I'm noticing a funny taste in my mouth and I'm thinking my taste buds are changing. The lunches and dinners seems to taste very bland. Maybe I'll be losing weight whether I try or not if food doesn't taste good!!!

You may find that when you are hep c free, your metabolism may work better and youll have the energy to exercise more... so getting in good eating habits is a great idea.
when I discovered I was allergic to soy I had to give up all processed foods (because they use it in everything from crackers to processed meats to jarred artichokes) anyhoo my metabolism started working better and ....I lost 80 pounds quite quickly. that was 12 or 15 year ago when I was very ill, and now being HCV free I walk 1 and 1/2 hours a day and am so much fitter or more fit.

Good Luck Karyl, sounds like a good idea to me. Any healthy eating plan is a good idea. We can only try. A good mind set always helps, and sounds like you have that. I was on Epclusa, an I found I craved carbs something chronic.

I think that sounds like a good plan, Carol. I think you should do fine, as long as you monitor your weight and caloric intake. The substance in your diet often is more important than the calories, as long as you stay active. You don’t have to go out and run a marathon or climb a mountain, just stay active, take a walk and leave the chocolate chip cookies alone. Okay, maybe one...

So I'm kinda chunky. Actually very chunky. I've been reading about people GAINING weight on Harvoni and I am NOT about to do that. In fact I need to lose some. 2 weeks ago I started on Nutrisystem and lost about 4 lbs so far. I figured the meals are nutritious and easy to prepare so I can relax and not worry about cooking healthy food and might actually lose a few lbs on Nutrisystem. They have you add in lots of fresh veggies and fruit and some other things like yogurts, cheeses and nuts etc. Thoughts on this diet?
