Try that Iris, I think it added an extra character in my first link. You‘re certainly right about some of the symptoms being related to HCV in general following SVR. The VA is currently conducting studies on non HCV infected Veterans with PTSD and seeing improvements in their symptoms as well. I’m all for any improvements! The website I referenced has a lot of interesting information, check it out when you can.

I can't help but wonder if the cure itself doesn't cause much of the relief from PTSD symptoms. Simply having the virus was the cause of having PTSD in the first place, living with a life threating illness can do that. But this they want to try on folks that don't have Hep C?
By the way Tig the link wasn't working.
Good to see you!

This is additional proof that the DAA trials, and subsequent approvals have provided valuable insight into treating people with PTSD. Kind of ironic that Veterans with PTSD and HCV, treated with Mavyret, found prolonged improvement of both issues. Additional studies are continuing. Very cool!

Summary:A new study found that the medication combination glecaprevir and pibrentasvir had the strongest association with PTSD symptom improvement among the DAAs most prescribed in the VA.
