Peace and blessings to all,
Is there anyone out there who has experienced continuing pain and fatigue, interferon causes, long after ending treatment?

Thanks for all the kind words. It is so great to hear from everyone. I have lurked a few times over the summer to keep up with everyone,, so be careful,, you are being watched !!

KAB, great to hear from you again, I have everything that I can cross crossed waiting for your news from the lab. I did much searching within while waiting, playing out all scenarios, and convinced myself if all was not well that I would just grab myself by my boot straps, give them a big tug, grab a bottle of interferon with a side of riba and fight another war. I am sure we all have these thoughts while waiting for our labs to return. Hoping for the best, and waiting patiently, you are not waiting alone.

It is so great to see all the support going on here within the new group that is on tx. It brings back some great memories to say the least. I have made a pact within to visit more often and to lend my support when I can. I can honestly say I was tired, mentally and physically when I was done with my tx and really felt the need to step back and regroup. It was a hard choice at first, and was nursed along with some late night lurking here, but I am back !!!

The best to all, KAB, let me know the news, you are in my thoughts.

Simon

Simon...Congrats!!!!! You must be thrilled.  Hope this finds you well since the last time we spoke!  I just went for my 1 yr post 48treatment blood work.  The liver profile is well within the normal limits but viral load is still pendng.  Takes about 2-3 weeks here.

Keeping my fingers crossed...6 month post was negative so I hope this one will be too!!!!!

Happy Holidays!

Hello Everyone,

Hopefully some of you still remember me, and for those of you who do not I am sorry for being a stranger, and for those of you that I  have not met yet, a sincere Hello.

To begin with I was a regular here 2 plus years ago, was diagnosed with hep c 2b, chose to do tx after much research, mainly on my own, and then struggled to find a Dr that was willing to work around my schedule as far as work went, as I was away from my home during the summer months for work, and would require a Dr that was willing to talk, instaed of see, and was trusting enough in my knowledge of my self, as well as of the hep c. Fortunately I found that person, and I can honestly say today he is not only a fine Dr, but also a great person, and I would like to say we consider each other friends, even to the point of having an invitation from him for lunch a few times.

Well to make a long story short, I felt that a visit here to my old stomping grounds was in order as I had my 18 month post tx blood test 2 weeks ago, and a visit to my Dr this am to recieve a handshake, a hug and a "don't do anything stupid again" chat , as I was negative and given my walking papers for good. He truly believes, and had documentation that there have been no reported relapses after 18 months post tx, and that was good enough for him to say the word we all strive for  "Cured"

For those that are thinking of starting tx, I hope this helps. For those of you on tx, hang in there, I did not miss one day of work, some were rather rough, but I thought myself through those. The mind is a powerful thing, please remember that in your tx days. A positive thought, a moment to remember what got us here, why we want out, and a pleasant thought of where we want to be at the end of our journey goes a long way. I chose to go it on my own, I felt that anti d's were not a way for me, personal choice, and put my mind in gear to succeed, and did it. I can remember laughing to myself as I slid my pants down to inject having the same reoccuring thoughts, most people dress for success, I am undressing for it lol.

Well a pleasant thought to all of those that I had for support, that were there on the same tx schedule, and to those of you that are here now. Hang in there, be safe, be positive, and BELIEVE !!!!

I am home now for the winter, and will try to pester those here more often.

May peace be with you all.

Simon
