Hi Dee, it`s great to hear from you!!  smile  I agree with the others, you`re not a nonresponder, and as Ty said, you can post wherever you like.

Sorry about your back probs, but I`m so glad to hear you`re not feeling too bad and your blood results are looking good.  Carry on taking good care of yourself Dee, and all the best of luck with sorting out that wretched back pain.   Keep in touch!

Hi Dee,

I hope you can get your back straightened out without taking those darned pain killers.  They are so bad on your liver!  I have a friend that did accapuncture and physical therapy.  He now exercises at the gym several days a week, has lost about 20 lbs, and no longer going for the accapuncture, because it doesn't hurt anymore. 

He had actually considered surgery!  yikes...

I know there is no one size fits all, and I am not saying this would work for you.  I am just concerned about you.

Nope, you are considered a relapser ( responder) meaning you would probably do very well on Incivek, as that's the group it has the highest success rate in.

I too am a relapser, that had to quit because my eyesight started going, I became anemic and my thyroid stopped, in 03.  My doctor told me I could not do a years treatment and to wait for the Vertex drug, way back in 06. I told my mother to buy stock in it then, and sat back and watched all there trials, while waiting for it to become available.

I've now completed my 4th week of the new treatment, and am waiting for the labs I did today. Did 5th Peg shot tonight.

Dee, I really think this may be our best shot, as most people are able to do just 6 months of treatment with Incivek.

But dear dear Dee, you ARE NOT a non-responder. You are a responder who relapsed..very big difference! That gives you better odds than even the treatment niave.

     Hi Dee, it's so good to hear from you!  Geez, I think you've been around the forum long enough that you can post anywhere you want, lol. 

     I don't consider you a Non Responder because you did respond.  I've met people who had to stop tx because of low blood numbers and for very serious thyroid conditions.  I've also met people who went off tx because they just did'nt want the sx's anymore, but I don't consider them NR.

     Maybe when your numbers go back up you can try one of those new drugs.  They seem to help shorten the duration, which may lower the harshness of tx on the body.

     I'm glad to hear you are feeling better and I hope you clear up that back problem, I know how bad they can be.  You've always been a fighter and I know you are going to get the life that we all deserve.  Take care, tysmile

Hi Everyone. Is this where I should be posting as I am a nonresponder, I guess? I'm not on treatment anymore, as most of you know. I was responding to treatment but my Platelets, RBC's and WBC's got all too low so I was taken off tx last Dec. Two months later I went from undectable to detectable. So what I want to know is, am I considered a nonresponder??

I don't feel too bad, I'm taking care of myself but having problems with my back. I'm working on trying to fix that pain and if I'm lucky enough to suceed, I think I will be around for awhile. I got my latest blood work back and my viral load is 128,590. RBC's and WBC's are normal and Platelets are slowly moving up.They are still low but heading in the right direction (72). Should be around 140. It was only 31 when they stopped my tx.   Well, thanks all for listening.

Hi, to all you newbies, wish you all a smooth ride with much success. From the 1st day I began tx everyone here has been a blessing to me. I'm sure you will find it to be the same.

To all my old friends who went through tx with me, I could have never done it without you guys.  We may go our seperate ways but you will never be forgotten.

Type 1b with cirrhosis. Started treatment April 9, 2010 for 48 wks. Maintained negative PCR from week 11 during tx but now I am detectable again.
