Hi JoAnneh.

I chose Incivek due to the possibility of a shorter TX time (Since I was non-cirrhotic, teatment naive).  I got lucky, and went und early.

*However*  If I had to do the full 48 weeks, I would certainly have chosen the Victrellis.  My doc suggested it first, since he felt more comfortable in dealing with the side effects.  The main one is anemia, which he said he could give Procrit, or Aranesp for (hemoglobin boosters).  

The Incivek rash/itch can be a bitch to deal with, plus the 3 x daily fat thing kinda sucked too!

But, both are pretty effective, and I would have been grateful to have either one.

I am so excited to just now find all three responses from members of this fornum!
I have another question,
Incivek or Victrillis? Which is best?
I am mentally and physically trying to get prepared for tx.
Selling my business that I have loved 33 years. Bought
A small greenhouse to play in:) and have my
First grandchild 2 weeks ago!!
I am very tired! Really ready to slow down.
Between family, business and aging parents
I am ready to relax.
I am experiencing brain fog and not on treatment!
I get a Upper GI next week then go visit my
Grandson for a week before getting on medicine.
I also have had random rashes over a year about time my mom
Died and still have trouble w them. My doctor
Did blood work and said it was not from liver.
Honestly I struggle trusting doctors.
Last time on medicine 11 years ago I told few
PeoPle. This time I am feeling led to go public and
Receive as much love and support as possible. Since last time was so
Hard for me, I know I don't need all responsibilities of ownership.
My children are grown and home is pretty quiet.

Hi JoAnneh, and welcome from me too! 

Yes, Lesley and Steff are right, I do have CFS/ME, and went down with it in 1995 following a bout of what was probably EBV (Epstein-Barr Virus, or as it is commonly known here in the UK, `Glandular Fever`), which is a common trigger.  As Steff said, CFS is very poorly understood and can actually be quite disabling. 

Because the symptoms are similar to those experienced by some people infected with Hep C, my consultant did suggest to me that maybe it was the HCV that was causing at least some of my CFS symptoms. However, I finished my tx for Hep C almost a year ago and do still have CFS.

I`m so glad I finally got round to doing tx though and was lucky enough to clear the Hep C.

Hi & welcome to the forum.
You will find a mine of info here from people in the same or very similar boat as you.
CFS i think is chronic fatigue syndrome sometimes known as ME.
Jill will probable be in touch with you soon, she will be able to tell you more about CFS.

Jill (Cinnamon Girl) has this and I developed it post-tx. Another member also has it. It's a very misunderstood condition, with many people thinking it just means you feel "tired".
