Hi Alan,

You continue to inspire. I'm not a bike person but my wife took me to look at some hybrid bikes yesterday, as our new house is surrounded by bikeways through forests and mangroves leading down to the river. After our trip, I may actually start riding. You sound completely recovered and good luck for the 150 miler. Cheers.

Hi Alan!

Sounds like your recovery is complete!! I haven't had the courage to get back on the bike again--but will get there. Glad to hear you are enjoying spring--it has taken long enough to get here!!

Alan,
Great to hear from you and your exciting
Bike adventure! That very inspiring.
I LOVE biking, I am looking forward to riding again
as well as swimming too! You give me hope
it can happen.
I took my last 48th shot 2 weeks ago and last pills 9 days ago.
I find I am extremely sleepy as last few week were difficult.

I can tell I am starting to improve and I pray I can
gear up to ride 20 miles on the
Historical Natchez Trace soon. Seems crazy thinking right now:)

I can never thank you
Enough for all the support and time you devoted
to forum.
Have a blast and best wishes on the ride!!

Today Adam and his friend and I did a bike ride to train for our upcoming 150 mile ride. The subject of today's training was dumbass driver avoidance. All three of us passed. Witness the fact that we are all three alive.

Next week we will train on close order drills, pace line etiquette, etc. on a trail near our local airport. Then the next two weeks will be endurance, then a week off. We will ride 100 miles on Saturday, June 1 and the 50 more on Sunday, June 2. The event will earn about $200K for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Last year I had to give myself a Pegasys shot on Saturday after the first day's ride. But not this year.

All you folks who are taking a beating day after day please understand that after this treatment is complete the result is worthwhile. You just have to complete it, and take care of your poor liver in the meantime. Best wishes to all of you. Stick to it.

Alan
