Zlikster we made it throught!! Whoo hoo high five ;) congrats on und. My doc still wont check. Guess I' ll post x 90. Tyroid all messed up did ultrasound and tyroid scan last week see cardio tomorrow. Going to ask him to order Vl. Enjoy trip, and stay in shade!!

cheers folks!

update: do not, i repeat, do not take sunshine easily while still there is some Riba in your body, i am now end of 3rd week eot and last 7 days i was exposing my self to the sun only after 17/18h when the sun rays are not that high in UV. Yesterday i spent most of the day (from 11-20h) on the beach all the time in the proper shade, but i couldn't resist and went for a quick (max 6min exposure!) swim round 13h  with suncream protection on. I got now pretty heavy sunburns on the legs and chest. I can't belive how quickly it happend!

so to all folks on Riba...be reallly really carefull when exposing yourself to sunlight.

Hi Zlikster, great looking results, and congrats on the UND, as expected!! biggrin

Good to hear your appetite is back with a vengeance, it`s wonderful when you start enjoying food again, and you`ve certainly got some catching up to do!  Get some flesh back on your bones!

It`s still early days post tx for you yet so concentrate on some serious relaxation in beautiful Dubrovnik!

All best wishes for your 12 wk PCR, but I don`t think you need to worry!

indeed i am, tho summer is bit weird this year. I was expecting 30C+ heat in July/August, instead it feels like September (some veggies that are usually picked in September are available now!).

ALP range says 60> (cant remember upper limit), i do not worry that much if it's low, would worry if it's high

as for Fibrotest/Fibrosure, it's 50EUR (damn french patented algos). Fibroscan i can't find anywhere close ;/  I just want to get liver fibrosis/inflamation results and ultrasound check for fatty cells on eot+12w. Want to see my liver back as it used to be

no beer indeed, tho i must admit i had some 1/5 red wine with 4/5 water in a small glass yesterday for lunch (i can't eat fish without wine, i have dalmatian/bosnian blood). I will wait tho until 12w PCR to have another glass If i had patience to abstain from any type or amount of alcohol all this time i can do it for few more months more.

how you doing? how much more to eot+24w PCR?

Hi Zlikster,

Hope you're enjoying Dubrovnik. Your blood results are excellent. Your ALP is perfect ( normal range 20-100).

Why are you bothering with Fibrotest? Save your money! Your Fibroscan was normal and still will be. It is much better than FibroTest or FibroSure, and you certainly don't need a biopsy. Chill out man, jump in the Adriatic, and wait for the 12 week VL. Cheers- no beer!!

Hi folks!

reporting in recovery mode at beautiful Dubrovnik. Feeling still most of the time tired, but overall situation is better. Still have some bronchitis from infection (i guess) that prematurely ended my therapy. Tinnitus is still present:/, tho trying to find a good audiologist to do full test. Appetite is, wow, back more than ever. I think i am overeating. I am up from 63kg to 65.5kg (my normal weight should be 74kg). Still on diet tho (no alcohol, fizzy drinks, pork, ultrafatty foods). Stopped with all suplements. Rash is still present on both lower legs and on both sholders, where i was getting shots, skin still havent recovered fully. i want to get hgb n rbc numbers ready for operation (pseudoarthrosis of humerus) i plan to do in October.

wbc numbers are back tho ;) (4.3), Hgb is still low (123) and rbc (4,1), but other numbers are good. Thryoid hormones great. Ferum ok. ALT 22, AST 18, GGT 17, ALP bit low 52. 

My plan is to do ultrasound when i get back, then @ eot+12w a full systematic check, including another pcr on my own, fibrotest instead biopsy. Next goal is F0/A0 no fatty hepacells and HCV RNA UND :)

and whats most important PCR (eot+1w) is UND!

 

to all still on interferon, patience! good times are ahead!
